It'll make it easier to wait to make a hire even if the coach is on a team that's still in the playoffs. Beane and McDermott (my guess) will likely give permission to Daboll for a 2-hour interview, and that could allow a hiring team to think "He really is as good as we thought, worth waiting for."
Steptide Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 I said in another thread somewhere, pay daboll whatever another team offers him and possibly more if it keeps him here. Daboll could still turn down an offer from the bills, but it's worth the try.
