Please Belicjek, get your ego involved and see if you can rehab Haskins.

To Belicheks credit, he always listed intelligence & effort as his key of the key traits to a successful football player, i don think haskins has very much of either..

At the very least Kraft will have an Eskimo bro to go to Orchids of Asia.

The headlines keep reading Haskins maskless at a strip club. Which is irresponsible when you are currently the starting QB (Alex Smith, out). But lets be honest, if you bring 4 of them back to your hotel and have mimosas in the morning, you have most definitely crossed the line from stripper to escort.

Also, can we talk about the fact that he gave them all his own t-shirts/jerserys? Does the dude just travel with his own merch to give out to hookers?

Looks like a damn good time!

Haskins is a decent looking pro-athlete, if he has to pay girls he is a dork.

He pays so they’ll leave,  not so they’ll come.

Much better than I thought.  He is sounds reasonably responsible and articulate.   Some of the things i cant comprehend like the $ for jewelry etc but he is young and he has a decent guarantee.   Glad he understands the impact of taxes.  The reason why i have not been to new York on business is years is because of the record keeping and the taxes.   He is right about the different tax regimes in different states, it is ridiculous.

Colt McCoy playing over him tells me it’s a coach problem, not an attitude/skill issue.

Colt McCoy is on the Redskins? Pretty sure I just him play for the Giants...

What.An.Idiot.

You don't need to be thaaat smart to make $14M last the rest of your life. The house for mom, the sisters college tuition is cool. But you don't drop 750k on your moms house out of the gate, then drop 250k on a damn Bentley. That is over 10% of the total contract after taxes in those two alone. And he didn't mention his own house/condo in DC, probable chef, clearly hookers, etc.

Dude is going to go broke.

This. But honestly, what do you expect? The US does not teach it's children about building wealth in schools. They'll have you learn history but they'll never teach you how to not repeat it. He spent his money pretty much how most 20 somethings would.

I recall the stories about "strange" women the the plane but that is a huge leap to assume they were prostitutes.  And it is one thing to have a woman on your plane, and a totally different thing if she is on the NFL payroll and "servicing ' members of the Redskin organization for pay.  And no, if they were doing that and were travelling that would be a Federal violation of the Mann Act enacted to stop slave trafficking, unless of course they just stayed within one state (highly unlikely they did).

And I dont know what the definition of "woke" is anymore but if the NFL cares at all about "protecting the shield" and image, there is no way Snyder should be able to maintain ownership.

Seems to me unless more comes out on Snyder he will probably survive.  Lets see how they punish Haskins for just going to a strip club.

And to the OP, hate to tell you this but just because they are strippers does not mane they are automatically "hookers".

Of course he’ll survive. They need actual fire instead of smoke. Particularly when Mr Handy has more clout than everyone else. The owners don’t want anyone spilling others demons if they go down.

Fair.

Also I just googled where he grew up (high school), Potomac, MD. I should maybe back pedal from my hot take slightly. Average home cost is 855k to 1.1M depending on your source. If he got out of there at 750k he was actually pretty frugal.

Probably doesn't help (not just him but probably a bunch of players) that they have never known a debt in their lives other than overdue books from the library (which I'm sure was covered for him) or that just because you got paid means the money will always be there.

Like you said, $14M is probably 3x more than I would need to live a decent life for the next 50 years (and I know I'm not gonna live 50 more years so I'll have some left over for my kids).
