While KC has the number 1 seed virtually locked, there is one scenario where the Bills can still get the number seed which involves the Bills, KC and Pitt all finishing 13-3.  It would have to happen as follows:

1.)  Bills would need these NFC South to lose in week 17
New Orleans vs Minnesota, Tampa Bay vs Detroit, Carolina vs Washington
2.)  Tennessee Titans to beat the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans
3.)  Baltimore Ravens lose both of their remaining games
4.)  Indianapolis Colts lose Pittsburg
5.)  Arizona Cardinals lose both of their remaining two games
6.)  Atlanta Falcons beat the KC Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers
7.)  Miami Dolphins beating the Las Vegas Raiders
8.)  Cincinnati Bengals beating Houston Texans
9.)  NY Jets beating the Cleveland Browns
10.) LA Chargers beating the Denver Broncos and KC Chiefs

Ahhh I used to remember these convoluted impossible scenarios to MAKE the playoffs.  Now at least we are doing them for the 1 seed this year LOL.  But yes it Does give Bills the 1 seed, just put it in the ESPN calculator.

Yeah, I can't tell which is more unlikely, Kansas City losing twice or Pittsburgh winning once.

Or Jets beating the Browns

All that other stuff is less likely than the Chiefs losing their final two.  Its done, they are the one seed, they can rest their guys safely if they want.   then again, they hardly need to since they get a bye.

Yeah I know that's why I started with KC is virtually a lock

Hasnt the past few days taught you there is no such thing as a lock in the NFL.  The Jets beat the Rams and the Bengals beat the Steelers.

Agree, but I also remember not that long ago these were the thread talked about to MAKE the playoffs.  Now we are doing it for 1 seed, yeah I like that feeling better.

Just lock 2 seed next week and Rest Starters week 17

This list makes no sense.  Why do NFC games have to do with us getting the number one seed in the AFC?

Also, we can’t get the number one seed.  First tie breaker is head to head, if applicable.  We were beaten by KC, best we can do is tie them if we win out and they lose out.  They still win the tie breaker.

So this is a mute point, best we can finish is the 2 seed now.

Head to head doesn't matter if there are more then 2 teams tied and not all the teams played each other.  Thus we need to be tied with KC and Pitt. The rest have to do with strength of schedule and nuances like that

He has 3 teams finishing 13-3

There isnt a team in the NFL that couldnt beat the Steelers right now, specially if the Tik Toc clown keeps dancing on logos in front of them.

Then the Immobile, No Arm, Cant see QB tossing up Hospital balls outside 6 yards from the LOS.

We win in a 3 way tie.  Not 2 way

Ah just read the crazy scenario online, didn’t realize that would be the case.  My bad, thanks for clarity.  Obviously we are not going to be the number 1 seed, but now I see why your post was laid all that out.

Easy to sate that now,  after a huge upset over the Bengals without a real quarterback.  The Steelers were a heavy favorite yesterday.

Three in a row is a real issue for them, self doubt has got to enter.  Big Ben needs to retire and Tomlin is not the incredible coach peolpe have been pumping him up to be, close to the deification that Belichek has enjoyed.  Lets see how Pittsburgh and the Patriots do next year

Dont matter about the Heavy Favorite stuff.  Ben is Done.  I am just surprised it has taken defenses this long to squat on the short stuff.  Ben really needs to think about his decision he made about coming back next year.

He is a Liability for the Steelers.  He cannot move off his spot, His Arm is dead (maybe it is worn out from the surgery and then the season), but wont get better, and Now he has issues seeing the field.

Crazy how terrible he is now.  Definitely seems like you’re right about surgery + overuse = dead arm.  He’s awful.  Sucks that we can’t play them in rd 1.  No way they make it to rd 2

I will be happy if the Bills win their next game, and I will try to take it a week at a time until there are no more games to play this season.
