billvernsays Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) A great ST player but at the end of the Denver game he was showing IMO he can play LB at this level. I've liked the guy since his Temple days, maybe our LB depth isn’t as bad as we thought. Edited December 22, 2020 by billvernsays 3
Hampton Josh fan Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 This guy is a playmaker on special teams and good depth at lb. He's is a great pickup. 1
Doc Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Yeah, I've had to revise my call to cut him and save $3.35M.
Magox Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Great pickup and it was fitting on the very first play against the Steelers he leads the charge against his former team down the field and makes a great tackle at the 10 yard lining. Setting the tone for the night. 3

947 Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Matakevich won both the Bronko Nagurski trophy & the Chuck Bednarik award his senior year in college, & had 493 career tackles. The dude can play, speed is the only thing keeping from a bigger role. 1 1
Joe Ferguson Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 His flowing golden hair is built for a linebacker. 1
Mike in Horseheads Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Just adds to next man up with this team, real great to see the depth they have put together
Big Turk Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Bills special teams have been outstanding this year in pretty much every facet. Guys like him are a big reason. 1

aristocrat Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Seems like guys are just getting this defense now and everyone trying to make plays.

IgotBILLStopay Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 i remember watching him make plays all over the field against a Tulane team in a low scoring game - just was a tackling machine
Saxum Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 He looked like a tiger which had been kept in a cage and finally let out. He went across the field to make one of those tackles. He is a very good tackler. I saw some film of him and suggested that he be given some snaps in relief and in goal line situations replacing a lighter player and was dismissed.
Bangarang Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 He has a role on ST but he is most definitely not someone you want playing meaningful snaps at LB.

Very very good work.. But what do i know. I hated Klein for half the season...

His game speed and his recognition are not measured. .But we could agree he is slower and maybe not best in coverage as a downhill LB ? perhaps . And I for one love that smash mouth LB on My Bills. situational and depth. love it
Haslett_Stomp Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Whirling dervish / Tasmanian devil. He was all over the field looking to kick some a**.

No disrespect to his last name, there’s just no way I could spell it correctly so I copied and pasted from google and it was lower case there. Edited December 22, 2020 by billvernsays
