DrDawkinstein Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Damn you are fast! Will be interesting with the Bills/Panthers connection if they come back after Schoen or Morgan...
T master Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 There goes one of Beane's staff for sure !! 1
zow2 Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 As long as we keep Beane and McDermott they can hire whoever. When you're a successful team, be prepared to lose asst coaches and front office people every off-season. 5
Royale with Cheese Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 12-21-2020 Bills sign Marty Hurney to Assistant to the General Manager 1 1

Jpsredemption Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 It’s a totally different owner and staff in Carolina now. I don’t think it’s a huge worry. And I’m sure Rhule already has someone in mind.
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 I’m not thinking they will automatically grab one of Beenes assistants necessarily, I’m guessing Rhule has others in mind especially with him having a large say in whom he wants to work with.
MAJBobby Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Sentimental card Carolina will look at Dan Morgan (not only sentimental but a Up and coming candidate that also brings the sentimental value with his skills).

I don’t know that any of them have a relationship with Matt Rhule. I could definitely see interviews, but it is not like if Rivera had still been there with original ownership. Matt will be looking for someone that aligns with him and although it could be any guy off the Bills staff - I don’t see a higher % chance than other open GM spots.
GunnerBill Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Joe Schoen wasn't in Carolina was he? Or at least not in any sort of senior role. On Hurney, I never understood why they re-hired him. But this looks like Rhule is the owner's man and it is going to be Rhule's show now. This is a lot more common these days as Peter King references in his piece about the Bills. You get a Head Coach you believe in and you build a structure around him.
The Jokeman Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 I hate to say it but Dawson meets the minority requirement for the Rooney rule yet if he did get the job it land is a 3rd round pick.

That gets my vote too. First name I thought of when I read the title of the thread.
