It does not matter who we play.

Excluding KC, none of these teams are capable of beating the Bills... The Bills like any team in the history of the league, are capable of beating themselves, so it really does not matter who we play leading up to the AFC conference championship vs KC.

Disagree. I think Tennessee is capable of beating us and so is Cleveland. I think the Bills are better than those teams but they both have real strengths in areas where the Bills are less strong. They can pound the run up the middle and pass on play action. Our defense is playing better but a team who can really execute that plan is still a team that has a chance to defeat us IMO. I'm not worried about the Colts and while I accept Baltimore are a great running team too their run game is much more multiple. They are not actually that great at just pounding straight ahead. I feel the Bills match up better against the Colts and Ravens and would have to "beat ourselves" somewhat to lose to those two teams. Even more so Pittsburgh.

dolphins and steelers are by far the 2 easiest matchups imo

Steelers are division winners so thats second round material.

Don't want to see Tenn or the Ravens... I think both would be tough games and really a toss-up... We match up poorly with Tennessee, Henry is tough and Tannehill doesn't make many mistakes.  I do think a rematch would be a lot closer though.

We have struggled vs running QBs this year as Murray and Tannehill made a lot of plays on the ground vs us... Lamar is the best running QB in the league..

correct but the thread was just who do you want in the playoffs.  thats my ideal path for the bills.  fins in round 1 steelers in round 2

My mistake I thought it was about the first round.

just imagine tho if that was our playoff schedule..couldnt ask for a better path to the afc championship than miami and then pittsburgh!  Praying it plays out that way

My least favorable would be Indy and Baltimore.  I think they both have defenses that are capable of giving Buffalo's offense problems.  I like that buffalo has seemed to figure out how to hurt teams more that started playing in shell zones.  Getting a healthy john brown back would help there even more - his route running has improved and he's usually money on the hitch.

If Indy beats Pittsburgh next week AND the key players beat the teams they should beat what makes more playoff sense:

beat Miami, get #2 seed and eliminate them

but allow the Ravens in

or lose to Miami Drop to 3 seed but keep Baltimore out of the playoffs.

In a season where home field has meant next to

nothing mathematically, that’s a tough decision.

baltimore’s style worries me.

Home field advantage DOES count. There is no travel and more familiarity/routine with facilities etc. Most people just think of the fans (which is absolutely huge) but as I mentioned there are other routine things that are helpful.

Win games and let the rest sort itself out. The way the defense is catching up with the offense, there is no team in the NFL I don't believe we can beat right now.

That is a great question that most fans are wrestling with. Miami is by far a better opponent for us in the wildcard rd. At the same time , Lamar is a nightmare to defend against. Then the question is does that mean we get Tenn or Indy or Cleveland. We have to wait for week 16 to play out. My optimum scenario is to play Cleveland or Miami.

Chiefs

It'll be a fun , tense , nail biting experience but we definitely  marching into KC expecting to win.

With Smoke back, I see our offenses as pretty similar and our defense with an advantage.

They'll be a handful, can't wait.

Hope Pitt loses and we slide into the 2 seed , so we don't play KC til Championship game.

But every game will be tough lot of good teams in the AFC. I think KC/Buf are great teams though

Back at you JB.  I respect the Chiefs, but I don’t  fear them.  Not anymore.  Dollars to Donuts (sorry Donuts to easy steal you’re handle on this one), Pitt loses to either the Colts or Browns (they are just not that good,  great defense but avg. at best offense).  We can win the next two, and if Brown comes back for the Pats, I’m fine with sitting Diggs so we have him to seal it with the Fish.

Every media outlet if we finish 13-3 will want us vs. the Chiefs.  BTW, please out of respect for the ladies on this board, please don’t use the pornographic slang of the Chiefs name.  I know you guys were excited, but we have ladies like the Dallas Cowgirl, and they don’t need to read that, nor any other loyal Bills lady fan on the board.  Not calling anyone by name out, but please we are good guys.  Sincerely thank you in advance, and yeas at times I get upset about teams like when Aaron Williams was cheap shorter, but we are better than that.  All of us.

I don't like matchups with Tenn or Cleveland. Teams that can control the ball on the ground worry me in January in Buffalo. I know the Bills have been better against the run lately but give me Tua or old man Rivers. I even think the Ravens would be easier than the Browns because I don't think Lamar would be any threating throwing the football

I want to play and smash the Ravens faces in.

beast, first agreed.  Second, what a bunch of people are not thinking of is the politics.  Do you think Cuomo isn’t playing politics to look like the hero allowing fans now that he can find a reason to say yes, and increase votes.  I don’t care about that part if it means my local Buffalo buddies can go to a game, the most meaningful game in over 25 years.

Third, Bass now knows the winds.  I live near Christie, and amongst a couple of topics I asked him was he knew where the winds were coming from, and he and Kelly knew how to throw where which his words was an advantage.  Allen must know by now after three years how to 0y different parts of the field.  The man has a cannon for arm, but he also knows how to throw where.  Pitt, TN, and so on do not know what tow of the three guys we need to know better than anyone (Bojo is the third).  The rest are the WR’s.

We have a team that can stay home, and practice probably outside, be used to knowing the field, and maybe the Governor gives us 14,000 fans.  This team will feed off of that.  Oh, and btw, they get to be with their families right after Xmas.

Go get em Bills!  Besides, don’t you guys want momentum with a team hot at 13-3, rest only for the really injured, and hot hitting playoff teams.  Remember what happened when the Colts rested everyone under Dungy for a couple of weeks.  Loss, or the Bills last year losing in the Wildcard after sitting everyone in the Jets game.  Sit a guy like Diggs if his ankle is really hurting, but if not a ding, but a real injury, I get it.  The injury list is minimal right now.
