Ethan in Cleveland Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 I think you follow he Belichick plan. Play your starters and play to win. Once you start resting folks teams lose their edge. 1
bigK14094 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 I favor knocking the Phins out of the playoffs if we can. Call me old fashion wanting to do that........
HalftimeAdjustment Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Play to win. If you coach at less than 100% you can't expect the players to play at 100%. Now, that does not mean you can't rest a couple of injured players or take starters out when you have a lead. Or even lower a couple of snap counts when you can. That is just good management. But there is a huge difference in, for example, starting Barkley or not playing either of our top 2 WRs.
MJS Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Try to win them because they aren't meaningless.
rayray808 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 if the Bills, Chiefs, Steelers all finish 13-3 we get the tie breaker and become the #1 seed
Do The Reich Thing Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 These games are nowhere near meaningless. Getting the two seed is still huge even if no bye. Could be the difference in hosting the AFC Championship.
Billsatlastin2018 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Meaningless, my arse! Why would this question EVER be asked? The Squeelers are in free fall. They could easily go 1-2 to finish. Getting the #2 is really, really important, going forward! KC could be upset in the AFC Divisional Round and the Bills could be home in late January for the AFC Championship... perhaps with fans! A ridiculous question.👎🏻
Gonzonzo Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 The Titans are one game behind (if win today), so wining the next to games are not just about the second seed, is about stays in 3° and avoid KC in round 2°.
FLFan Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 I absolutely do not want them to take their foot off the gas at this point. Coasting for two games is a sure way to be flat for the playoffs and we will have another early exit.
BillsfaninSB Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Play to win unless someone is pretty banged up. I agreed with not playing starters last year against the Jets but in hindsight I think that did us no favors against Houston.
Chicharito Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 I say destroy the pats and embarrass them like they did to us numerous times! Then rest the starters against Miami

I don’t wanna lose that rhythm they have. I hate injuries as much as anyone but if you rest players for two weeks I guarantee you we will be rusty so I agree with you. I think it’s harder to keep the team focus now until the playoffs the coach has his hands full. And on top of that we got two divisions games left and you no there going to come out and hit us hard. If McDermott plays everyone and someone gets hurt it’s you were stupid the games meant nothing if you rest them and come out rusty they will say you should of played them. Lol P.s who is ready for 10 years of great football or longer I love Allen it’s been too long 1
JAMIEBUF12 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 No letup.I’d like to sweep the division and possibly knock the fish out of the playoffs!!
Nineforty Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 unrelated, but if you see Putin, kick him in the nuts for me. then maybe a little novichok to his face.
njbuff Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 The Bills rested their starters in the season finale last year against the Jets and look where it got them? An immediate exit in the 2019 playoffs. You go all out and you rest people on an "as needed" basis. Case closed.

Should they fight for #2 and #3 seed to avoid Chiefs until Conference final ? Garbage time injuries of Diggs, White and Williams were scary yesterday. How Bills can prevent starters from injuries and be in good fit for playoffs? They are not meaningless if fighting for 2 seed. Everyone plays as long as Two Seed in play.
Charles Romes Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Good thing happen to teams that play to win the game. 76 raiders. 07 giants.

Epictetus Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Are there any combinations of results today (however unlikely) that would lock the Bills into the #3 spot? Looking at the current playoff standings, it looks like the Bills could still finish anywhere from #1 to #4 no matter what happens today and Monday night.
