Since the late third quarter of the 2nd Jets game where they took a 12-10 lead, the Bills have only trailed in games for a combined 24 minutes and 41 seconds, which was comprised of 3 games. They trailed for 14 minutes and 36 seconds of the Cardinal game and for 2 minutes and 42 seconds of the 49ers game and 7 minutes and 31 seconds of the Steelers game.

The Bills have never trailed at any point in any of the other games which is absolutely stunning.

Put another way...in the last 436 minutes and 37 seconds, the Bills have only trailed for 24 minutes and 41 seconds, which equates to 5.65% of the total time.

This might be an unprecedented level of dominance that maybe even the Bills Super Bowl teams didn't match...

We are also a Hail Mary away from being on an 8 game winning streak...

Oh yeah...Josh Allen for MVP!

What about the Steelers game???  We were behind for most of the 1st half

Good catch...we trailed in that game for 7 minutes and 31 seconds...adjusted the times. Still a very small percentage...about 5.65%

As talented and successful as the early 90's Bills were..........they were also not consistent in effort week to week.

The tail wagged the dog on that team and they would have weeks where they just seemed to be looking ahead or unfocused........so it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have a consistent run of leading games like that.

They have been focused/methodical this year......a one-week-at-a-time team.

Steelers scored first at 8:21 in the second quarter.  Bills went ahead on the pick six at 0:50.  So about 7:31 of them leading in the game.    Not most of the first half

Dammit...I miscalculated from the FG time...

So we never trailed against the Chiefs?

Chiefs game was before the Jets. I am starting with 1:37 left in the 3rd against the Jets when we took a 12-10 lead.

its a cool premise, but this stat is very skewed in favor of the bills. its like saying you got a 89% average after your midterms.

They are going great though!

OK...so let's do it for the entire season then.

Bills never trailed against the Jets in the first game.

Trailed against Miami for 4 minutes and 16 seconds.

Trailed against the Rams for 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

Never trailed against the Raiders.

Trailed for 49 minutes and 56 seconds against the Titans(worst performance by far)

Trailed for 41 minutes and 39 seconds against the Chiefs.

So for the season the Bills have played 840 minutes and have trailed for a total of 125 minutes and 5 seconds or 14.9%, with the majority coming in 2 games.

Outside of the Chiefs and Titan games, the Bills have only trailed for a grand total of 33 minutes and 27 seconds out of 720 minutes or 4.64% of the time. That is insane!

No. Poor analogy. The time of your midterms is something the student has zero control over. Whether you are ahead and for how much of the game, is something your team has a great deal of control over. It relates directly to how well you're playing, not perfectly, but directly.

It's an interesting stat. Shows that we tend to start early, for one thing. And that's a very good thing.

EDIT: Oh, if I misunderstood and you were referring to the fact that he was only looking at after the Jets game, looking at things recently makes total sense. How we have played recently is a far better barometer of how good this team is right now, going into the playoffs than how well we played very early in the year was.

They're playing much better, and that stretch of time was no cakewalk, with games against the Patriots, Seahawks, Cardinals, Chargers, 9ers and Steelers.

People complain about using partial stats or leaving some out. But it's fine to do that ... as long as you don't pretend you're getting a complete picture. As long as you own up to the fact that you're only getting a partial look, that's fine. So if you say, "I'm leaving out this guy's worst two games, and you can see that he's actually playing very well this year," that's not reasonable. But saying the Bills have been terrific since the Jets game, very reasonable.

It seems impressive and I wonder how that stacks up against other 11-3 teams through 14 games throughout NFL history.

One major encouraging stat is since the Hell Murray game is our third quarter point differential is plus 30 (48 to18).  The first 10 games we had a minus 57 point differential (85 to 142).  They finally started eating orange slices at halftime.

Enjoy the moment!  Just take it week to week and yes, we can win the Super Bowl with this team this season!  Maybe we do maybe we don't but this has been an amazing ride so far with more to come!  Spectacular things could be on the horizon for this team!

Go Bills!!!

Just the way we almost never punt is incredible. I’m not even sure how to watch this. This offense is so good when it’s on. It doesn’t even look like it’s really happening sometimes. Guys are completely wide open constantly.

Wow, that makes the first quarter meltdowns in game day threads even more ridiculous.

Now that is low. Come on, if we can't meltdown and become totally irrational their, where can we ????

The fact the Bojo has not qualified for the punt stats all season is telling.

Is that true? I’ll have to look that up? Are we nearing some sort of record for least punts in a season? It sure feels like it.
