Prioritize which upcoming UFA’s to re-sign

Big 3 are Milano, Feliciano, and Williams. I believe that’s how the organization would prioritize their re-signings.
 

Tackles are usually valued higher than guards or linebackers but...

 

1) our defense is linebacker driven, and we only usually play two, which means they need to be good.

 

2) Beane has been able to find a lot of offensive line talent, and it’s been coached up well by Bobby Johnson. But the run game only really started to get going once Feliciano came back. 
 

3) Feliciano is a leader in the room and I think that means a lot to McBeane. He can also play center in a pinch without losing much from Morse. Also, guards usually come cheaper than tackles, so keeping Feliciano will be about $5M-$7M cheaper than keeping Williams. 
 

so I believe the organization will be able to bring back Milano and Feliciano, and that Williams will go and get a well deserved big pay day somewhere else.

A lot depends on cap and Morse situation. There are reports the cap situation may not be as dire and it may allow them to sign all 3.

With how AJ Klein has looked, I think the Bills could draft a linebacker in the top-3 rounds and turn him into Matt Milano.

Protecting Josh Allen is the biggest priority of this team...they need to keep Williams and Feliciano, or find adequate replacements.

I don't envy the decisions that Beane will have to make. But this is the price of being a good GM in the NFL. You have to be willing to let good players walk. And you must draft well. I absolutely loved the signing of Williams. But it will be hard to keep him and Milano. Also, we have to make sure there's enough money to sign Josh and Edmunds to extensions (I believe these are the priorities for Beane and McDermott).

 

Then you have to expect that Diggs will want a raise soon.

He's probably going to want that raise this offseason, after putting up a career season and helping Josh Allen get there too.

I like Milano but I am tempted to let him walk.

 

Williams has played well, Mongo is maybe our best lineman. and we may need a C depending on what Morse does this offseason regarding his health. We need to stop reshuffling the line every year. I probably try and sign Williams to a 2-3 year deal and draft a cheaper replacement to start grooming now. I would try and kick the can down the road with Milano and hope he takes a cheap "prove it" sort of deal given his recent injuries this year. I think we just need to find an athlete to rotate with Klein going forward and we should be OK.

I say Williams first because he plays the more important position compared to mongo.  Williams play vs Watt increased his value.  We have to keep him....as long as his price tag isn’t astronomical.  The question is.... what’s astronomical.  I was thinking 10-12 mill a year would be the max.  Now I’m thinking his tag went up and could be as much as 15 mill a year.  If that’s the case, can we afford to pay him?  Idk.  Getting nauseous just thinking about it,  Beane has some work to do.

 

Mongo has the additional value in that he can also play center. He seems to be the heart and soul of the OL.  What’s he cost? 5-6 mill a year? Make it happen.  He’s a glue guy that performs well.

No chance you're getting Felciano for less than like $7-8M a year.

I know Williams played well against Watt. But he also got burned pretty well by Bosa. So it’s not like he’s perfect. I just wonder if he’s going to be looking for the biggest deal he can get. Played a rookie contract, then got a 1yr $6M from Carolina and a 1yr $2.5M deal from us... I could see him getting $13M+ on the market. I think Beane has shown a talent for finding linemen (he put this entire line together minus the fact he didn’t draft Dawkins). I think he could replace Williams if needed. And adding a rookie to the group would help with the cap spent on the O-Line.

We’ll see.  His projection was lower than that the cap may be going down.  He loves Bobby johnson, his teammates and the city. If his going rate is 7 mill a year, I could see him staying here for 6

Of the three, Feliciano would be my top priority.  He's really solid at two positions on the line, and in my opinion, the most consistent lineman the Bills have.  I'd want to keep that versatility and consistency.

Wouldn't you want to protect your QB with bookend tackles? Bills showed they can win without Milano/Feliciano. Williams is a right tackle and the price tag for a RT differs from a LT. Would like to keep Feliciano/Milano, but can live without them.

MAJ, I'm with you here except I'd go LB, CB, TE. Zaven Collins next to Edmunds will probably have the two biggest, fastest LBs in the NFL. Levi is adequate but could use an upgrade. Kenny Yeboah or Charlie Kolar in the 3rd.  Edge is a need too. Chris Rumph is a sleeper.

Bosa was killing Dawkins too. Wouldn't releasing Morse help cap? Use Morse money on Williams

I hear that.  When I ran my Sim I had No LBer of value so went with Pitts (best player on board by FAR).

 

I also dont need a CB early IMO.  My CB2 is on this roster right now, wait until he gets a full offseason (Dane Jackson).

 

I also thought OT (alot of value there in 2nd) but already Signed Williams, so next best position where values was at (with the simulation) was LBer.  

 

Cox in the Third on the simulation was just too good of value to pass on, but did look at some IOL there.

I was leading the parade for re-signing Milano.  I still prefer we do but your last sentence makes sense.

Draft a guy on day two who is a coverage linebacker who probably fell because he's not very good in run support.  This guy will be a "3rd down" specialist.

I do think with Morse getting ANOTHER concussion this year.

I could see them Signing Feliciano to play Center, and move Ike to RG, or find another RG (like they did with Spain and Williams). Cutting Morse for cap space and health (maybe he retires), But I do think it would be completely irresponsible to NOT Sign Feliciano and plan for life after Morse (it is coming sooner than later IMO).

 

Also a little Wild Card is Bates (he has NEVER looked out of place when he has played).
