It can be..  Maybe something else is going on, but I do know when teams play southern humidity games (for an example), coaches will put players on hydration schedules for this reason.

The didn't drink enough water is a bad take, but amateur endurance athletes these days take electrolyte pills, so it's kind of bizarre that cramping is a problem for NFL players.

 

It's fake.  He isn't cramping in the traditional sense.
