Food_Pyramid_Wrong Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) Dude is clutch. Doesn't bobble, doesn't fumble, and gets critical yards all the time. Keep it up 18, we need you to break one in the playoffs! Edited December 14, 2020 by SaratogaMike 14
Nester Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 He is fired up every game. I really like him as our returner, even after that one bad game.
Rk_Bills86 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I think if the field wasn't wet he'd have a TD on one of his returns. He had a couple of slips and stutter steps to regain traction that cost him hitting holes just before they closed. Either way - he's going to the pro bowl for a reason. 1
mushypeaches Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 He is just money for this team, and sets the tone for us on Special Teams as a whole. Totally unselfish, and a pro's pro
Iverwig Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Roberts is a HUGE weapon on special teams. There was one punt return where two defenders were around him when he caught it and he just accelerated past both of them. He is amazing returning kicks and I don’t second guess anytime he tries to return KO’s 4-5 yards deep in the end zone. He is extremely confident in his ability as a returner which is what makes him great. 1
Kwai San Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 It is fun to watch Andre return punts.....while most returners catch the ball - hesitate for a second while Andre is already moving forward gaining yards. He is a beast out there and as the others have said he will be in the pro bowl for a reason....so glad that Beane picked this guy up!!
Saxum Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 He certainly makes it easier for a special teams coordinator rather than having a punt catcher. Ray Ray did okay in his homecoming to Buffalo. 1

No dancing.. north and south runner once he gets up to speed 1
Da webster guy Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 "The way they kind of handled it was a little shady." - Andre Roberts on Jets choosing to let him go. Said anytime you're an All-Pro and they choose to move on it's surprising. Game changing player AND great teammate. Thanks Jets for sucking at everything you do. 1
Lv-Bills Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 He has had such a great year. He truly makes a difference in setting us up on Special Teams.
thenorthremembers Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Guy is top ten in both punt and kick returns, isnt a flyer anymore but his feel for the game makes up for it. Would love to see him break one soon, but touchdowns on returns has become almost non existent.
TPS Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 At one point last year I suggested sitting him and replacing him with Duke because he wasn't contributing at the WR position which was sorely lacking (toward the end, teams were focused on taking away Smoke and Beas, and there was no one else picking up the slack. In addition, the Bills ST unit wasn't very good overall. This year, he is a valuable piece to the overall puzzle, especially now that they have a great complement of WRs and their return unit is much better.
ghostwriter Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Seems like he’s bringing us out to the 30 every return.. That helps a lot!
NewEra Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 He’s a difference maker. He makes our offense better
UB2SF Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 As @Shaw66 pointed out in his Rockpile Review, Roberts is tough and his teammates feed off of it. A million years ago, I was the kick/punt returner for my high school team, and that experience actually makes me nervous watching Roberts. One of the hardest and most dangerous ways to handle a return is to sprint north/south at full speed even if there isn't an obvious hole to hit. The chance of a violent collision (even with your own teammate) and/or a fumble is extremely high. But on every return, Roberts accelerates to full speed and just trusts his teammates and his own abilities to make something happen. It gives me anxious flashbacks to my days as a returner... but I totally effing love it!
Matt_In_NH Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 He has been so good this year. Another upcoming FA....
