Eriwood70 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Was it just me, or did it look good? Is it possible that T Bass kicks it so high that the refs don’t see it go thru the uprights? It happened once already this season. 4
ALLEN1QB Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) I know hindsight is 20/20 but why not use a timeout after the Pick 6 to let Bass warm up? He was sitting on the bench not expecting to come in since the defense was on the field. We ended up going to the half with 3 timeouts in our pocket. Edited December 14, 2020 by ALLEN1QB 1
Not at the table Karlos Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 When they showed a replay later it looked really close.

As hot as Bass has been you didn't expect him to miss a chippy 1

If it was a warm up issue then he shouldn't be doing anything else but warming up. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. It was a rare error by Bass in recent weeks. Having said that, did it miss? I thought it was similar to the one in his first game. 5
YoloinOhio Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 They need Better technology to determine these things. 10 1

Surely you can't be serious....take a TO after a TD for your kicker? Edited December 14, 2020 by nucci 8 2
Johnnycage46 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 You know we have a good team when our biggest concerns are 2-point defense and extra points. Man, how far we've come. 3 2

Looked very close to being good to me. I'll have another couple of looks on Gamepass to see if it's any clearer the day (sort of) after.

Rc2catch Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I can’t think in any game I’ve ever watched in my life I’ve seen a team use a timeout (even if they have 3 and don’t need them) to warm up a kicker for an extra point. This could easily fit into another thread.
NoSaint Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 This is silly. do you call one after every turnover or injury to let guys warm up? 1
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 1. I will start the fire under the tar pot, and make sure there is an adequate supply of feathers. 2. Did anyone see Knox slip Bass a couple of C notes, and hear him say "take some of the heat off me, will ya'?" 2
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 he's still going to miss those like that. hopefully fewer and farther between. it was a drag though, I thought at the time. you want a good laugh, scroll through the (any) GDT and read the over reactions. now that in itself will make you forget about the missed point after, Lol 1
RoyBatty is alive Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 It is the kickers job to be ready to kick. He had plenty of time between the pick six, the celebration and then the kick. If I ever saw a coach use a timeout to let a kicker get "warmed up" (unless MAYBE if it was a game winner) i would lobby for said coach to be fired.
Blank Stare Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Feels like the NFL’s equivalent to the MLB strikezone. Tech could do it better unquestionably, but they prefer the nostalgia. Personally, I love the ump calling balls and strikes over tech, but this is stupid on extra points. Especially with all the emphasis they put on cameras down the goal line. 1
BuffaloBillies Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I liked that his next 3 kicks (2 XPs and FG) after the miss were pretty much perfectly center-cut. Focused. I trust him. 1 2
BBills88 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Why are we nitpicking. The kid has been on target for many games. It did not cause us the game and he also made the next kick. No harm done
