Artem Lipatov Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Ravens , Jets and Browns. Their QBs are Lamar, Darnold and Baker, 1st round draft classmates of JA. Another 1st round QB of that draft is “right Josh” who doesn’t play in NFL and hasn’t stats at all. Beane and Bills made very accurate pick 🎯 6 5 1
prissythecat Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 The Ravens and Browns are run heavy by design. So wouldn’t really use the stat to conclude that their QBs totally suck at passing. The Jets are just plain awful so not surprised they are at bottom .

Do you think they would be "run by design" if their QBs were Mahomes, Watson, Rodgers or Allen?? Also, I recognize that there are problems on Jets that haven't done Darnold any favors, but he's really done nothing to speak of to help elevate the team in any way. Compare what you saw to Allen's rookie year, where he made lots of mistakes that we don't need to rehash, but also provided instant leadership, credibility to teammates and executed 4th quarter comeback victories. Your post is Irrelevant. When you have Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt on your roster like the Browns you run the ball primarily . When you have Greg Roman as your OC , as the Ravens do , you are going to be run oriented . Edited December 14, 2020 by prissythecat Fix typo 2 1

So, if you had a Henry on your roster you should be on this list too? Brownies are limited by what they can and can't do consistently, which is pass. Allen is proving week by week that he was/is the big QB get of that draft. Lamar has been solved, at least for the moment. We will see tonight.... 3 1 3
mjt328 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Total yards is not a good way to compare teams. The Browns are a middle-of-the-pack passing team. 1
RichRiderBills Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I still would rather face Phish or Colts. They will both cave in the cold. Next, Browns...because I want that 1989 rematch we've been waiting 31 years for. 3

You would have a point if they were in say the top 10 passing.

Bob in STL Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 As stated, Browns and Ravens are run oriented by design. Lamar and Mayfield are not bad. QBs. Especially Mayfield who is picking up his passing game. Statistics alone do not tell the story. 1

CNYfan Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I think Baker is getting better and the Browns are tooled up. The Browns will be a tough game for everyone.
BillsFanSD Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 The Ravens are run-oriented by design, because their QB isn't a good passer. Not sure why that's supposed to be some sort of refutation of OP's point. 3
Don Otreply Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) Does this surprise anyone at present? Can this change? likely for at least one of them. Edited December 14, 2020 by Don Otreply

You don't all of the sudden go "hey, future HOF QB, now we're a run fist team cuz we got 2 great backs". Just doesn't happen. If you can pass well, you pass first. If you can't pass well, you run the ball. That's just football in this day and age. 3 1

Those of us who said LJ was not a pure passer and his MVP season was a one off..... we were haters, jealous of his success. I hope you aren’t suggesting that he was “ figured out”😉 1 1

That would make this a post like this sound pretty stupid. That would be so funny. Edited December 14, 2020 by FireChans
