Something that has gone a little under the radar with the Bills has been their penchant for holding teams to very low point totals in the 1st half, allowing them to get out to big leads in a lot of games.  Obviously the 2nd half can get a little hairy as teams start scoring, but they do so trying to come back from a huge deficit many games.

Jets  3

Dolphins 10

Rams 3

Raiders 13

Titans 21

Chiefs 13

Jets 10

Patriots 6

Seahawks 10

Cardinals 9

Chargers 6

49ers 7

Bills have only allowed more than 10 points in a first half 3 times, and it was a 3 game stretch starting with the Raiders where they allowed 13, 21 and 13 to the Raiders, Titans and Chiefs.  Other than that, the Bills have done an exceptional job at holding teams down in the first half and most times in the beginning of the 2nd half to allow themselves to build huge leads...in 8 of the 12 games, the Bills have had double digit leads in the 2nd half.  That is really impressive.

Jets 27-10

Dolphins 31-20

Rams 28-3

Raiders 30-16

Seahawks 27-10

Cardinals 23-9

Chargers 24-6

49ers 27-10

Now they just need to work on replicating their first half in the second half.

I don’t wanna know the stats in the 2nd half if that’s the case lol.

Tied for dead last with Minnesota at 16.2 points per game.

I do think buffalo has given up a considerable amount of garbage time points (and yards).

Jets week 1 when down 17 scored a TD with 30 seconds left.

Raiders down 14 scored with under 2 minutes left (huge PI on that drive). Didn't get onside kick.

Seattle scored down 17 with under 2 minutes left.

49ers obviously.

Chargers didn't score but added like 80 yards to their team total in teh last minute down 10.

Conditioning, complacency, or coaches. Can't let teams get a sniff if you have them down. Yes they sealed the deal in all but Zonairacle, but to get to the Bowl which is the goal, Rev it up!!!

Yeah they do...essentially the Bills play the clock in those situations more than the opponent.  They let them go on longer drives and burn off lots of clock knowing there is no way they will have enough time to win the game.

Well...sounds nice, but that really isn't the way it works in the NFL anymore.  Teams are going to get back in the game most of the time, look at Cleveland being up 38-7 and then winning 41-35 against Tennessee this past week.  I mean, Pittsburgh's vaunted defense just blew a 14 point second half lead to the Washington to lose at home.  It was the biggest blown lead to lose a game in Steelers home history. It just happens, the NFL is built for offenses to have a big advantage.
