Dump off passes to RB’s and TE’s. He needs to get the ball out fast. Dink and dunk it. That is how Brady neutralized the Steelers for years, and how Alex Smith was able to move the ball last week. The encouraging thing about last week was we saw a number of plays like that from Josh against the 49ers This is cut out of Chris Simms unbuttoned so the quality is poor, but just look at the number of completed passes behind or at the LOS - I count 8 - or within ~5 yds - 12 of 15 or something like that. Those are those quick fast dink-n-dunks. Allen was taking those. That's huge. That's a huge step. 10 minutes ago, JGMcD2 said: Josh blew a 16 point lead ? He had 4 receptions on 6 targets once last season but for much more yards. Devin Singletary, 3 receptions on 4 targets for 20 yds. Zach Moss 1 for 1, 5 yds. Learning to be patient. Learning to take what the D gives him. Learning to dink n dunk. 2

I'm the one who's been so frustrated with Allen's unwillingness to do that over the past years that I've factitiously suggested equipping them with 10 ft blaze orange fiberglass snowpoles to help Josh spot them. 1

I can think of two occasions where he threw to Motor in the flat and he made a guy miss and got at least 5 yards. Take it Josh. 1

I think those all reds should do the trick

Yep....obviously 2nd and 4 or 5 is always better for the offense than 2nd and 10. The time to take chances is actually in those 2nd and 3 or 4 situations! 1

Isn't this a funny "problem" to have? How any years did we all complain about the Trent Edwards and others who only checked down?!

I forget who said it, but one of us facetiously suggested that if Trent Edwards and Josh Allen were to meet, it would be like matter and anti-matter colliding 2

But it took more than 3 years. 3
