Let's be fair here.  We all wanted to body slam a ref or two here and there.  I think the kid deserves another chance.

That ECC hockey player that blindsided the ref a few years back got probation and a fine.

I'm amazed the refs continued the game. If I'm running that game and that happens the game is over.

Edinburg (team player was on) was winning  by 7 too!  I would have made them forfeit and lose the game.

Agree 1000%. Nothing would hold him more accountable for his actions than knowing he ruined the season for his team and his town.  That’s what I feared when I played football. Letting my teammates down.  You have to live with that for life.

The kid got a class a Felony charge and the team has been forfeited and not allowed to play in the playoffs. 
 

Good for the league, but my question is reading more about this - this player sounds like he was suspended last year from soccer for “attacking” a ref following a call against him.  How do you allow that kid to play any more sports at any level.

 

He should be done!
