ghostwriter Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 It’ll be interesting to see how Milano is used.. both Klein and Edmunds were good last week and usually we only have two LBs on the field.. may want to ease him in..
clearwater cadet Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I thought Dodson look pretty good out there were he played, I thought he was an upgrade over Klein, but Klein has looked really good the last couple of weeks.
Royale with Cheese Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 How many snaps will Klein get now? He need to be on the field more (can't believe I'm saying that). 3 8
Virgil Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I hope Milano is 100% healthy. If not, we are a playoff team and need to be thinking down the road. I don't want him on the field unless he's ready. Same for John Brown 18

Blank Stare Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 We had a bad stretch there with Milano getting dinged, then his backup Dodson (who was playing well) gets dinged, and then Klein looked like he couldn’t tackle and was wearing cement shoes. Fast forward a few weeks and Klein is playing great. Getting them back improves depth and is a good problem to have. It affords them some time to make the right call on their health by not feeling like they have to rush them back. Also, I hope strengthening our depth and weathering that patch of adversity pays dividends down the line.
Don Otreply Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I hope they don’t reduce what Klein has been able to do to put Dodson in , may be wrong but Dodson has not as of yet produced like Klein has been as of late. Not like my thoughts on this mean anything... Go Bills!!!
Logic Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 This coaching staff almost always seems to do the right thing with regard to player injuries and recovery. As such, when Milano returns, I expect them to ease him back in, with a snap count that gradually increases each week. Of course, Klein's great play over the past few weeks makes this a much more tenable idea. I'm thinking it'll be about 75-25 in favor of Klein at first, with Milano only playing obvious passing downs. If Milano proves to be healthy and playing well, that number will skew in his favor more and more. In all honesty, Klein has started to become a jack-of-all-trades, basically replacing Lorenzo Alexander. I would've never, ever guessed that Klein would/could do this, but he is! He's blitzing, playing the run well...even playing the pass well. He's been stuffing the stat sheet the past few weeks. His elevated play, Edmunds' elevated play, plus the return of Milano, has made what was recently our biggest defensive weakness into our biggest defensive strength. 4

Stank_Nasty Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Why exactly are there so many in here all concerned they're gonna rush milano back? They just IR'd him and went 2-1. They're 8-3 and the d is coming off a good game with Klein. I'm fairly confident they know where they're doing with regards to letting him play or not. I doubt they feel much need to rush him back if he's not 100% 3

This game plan may be a bit different. I would almost expect something akin to the pats game. Mullens doesn’t throw downfield a lot and they run a wide zone run game. He dinks and dunks down the field and they live on YAC. Whatever the Bills do, they need their best tacklers on the field Edited December 2, 2020 by YoloinOhio 5

Klein is smarter and more experienced. Dodson is faster and more athletic. There are situations where smart is more important and situations where speed and athleticism are more important. The burden is on the defensive staff to figure out how best to use them. 4

I see Klein in more of the Lorenzo Alexander role. There was room for both of them on the field when he was here. Klein can be a situational pass rusher and run stuffer. Milano's coverage ability is really key though. 1
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Man this I feel a lot better about this defense with these two back. Klein and Edmunds have stepped up lately...add 2 guys that can move to the mix. I like it.

Buffalo_Stampede Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 I remember Seattle's Legion Of Boom was probably the only defense in the NFL to keep 3 LBs on the field all the time. I wonder if McDermott tries this. He'll likely just start a rotation of 2 LBs.
ndirish1978 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Put Milano in on a pitch count if he's healthy enough. LBs will be key this game, we will need to learn how to stop the run. 4 minutes ago, Buffalo_Stampede said: I remember Seattle's Legion Of Boom was probably the only defense in the NFL to keep 3 LBs on the field all the time. Might be nice to have the option of running 3 LBs. Especially against a team like SF who is run first. 2
