I actually think they tried, but the ball sort of hit their chests and stayed up. 
 

I also think that if there was only 1 guy back there, they could defend it. Seems like all 4 defenders cancel each other out.

I don't think he knocked anybody out position but he was absolutely dead in the middle trying to catch the ball.

This a coaching issue. Especially after the Arizona debacle,they should be selling out to knock it down. Imagine if you bet that game and you gave up that play.
