I almost feel sorry for you when your little reality bubble pops as you watch Kamala get sworn in.

While you watch that just remember that we all warned you it would happen here.

FiveThirtyEight polling averages as of 8/12:

National: Harris + 2.7

Pennsylvania: Harris + 1.6

Michigan: Harris + 3.3

Wisconsin: Harris + 3.2

Arizona: Harris + 0.4

Georgia: Tied

No Dems are freaking out. Actually today was an awesome day so far:

- republicans pull out of the Ohio Senate Race

- 538 avgs update and have Harris winning.

- Bullfinch polls come out showing Harris with big leads in the 3 states she needs

- poll out that Harris is making Maine 2nd district competitive

- Harris now 51/46 over Trump on Polymarket

- Harris now 59/44 over Trump on Predictit

- Nate Silver now has Harris winning PA, MI and WI with his averaging (those 3 win Harris the election)

- Harris just 0.8 down to Trump in PA once that turns, RCP has Harris winning

Overall, Harris is dominating. I think as each new poll comes out, the best part is the lead keeps increasing. So we haven’t seen her plateaued yet in the polls. We haven’t even seen her convention bump yet!!!

Trump has 1 scheduled rally up ahead. The campaign is low energy and enthusiasm is dropping.

So no. I’m not freaking out. None of my Dem friends are freaking out. No one on this board is freaking out.

Jubilation may be a good word for how Dems are.

Crap…. Forgot this news too and great way of Kamala to own Trump yet again:

No it’s a recap of the news today (all verifiable facts). Figured you’d need it since you just keep watching the Trump video over and over again.

Also lol, 18,000,000 views and only 300k likes. SAD.

There are 10+ million more D voters than R voters...The only reason R is competitive nationally (and locally really) is gerrymandering and the electoral college.

Lets see:

When Bush left office the economy was in depression and we were in two unwinnable wars. The costs to get over these was 10-15 trillion.

When DT left office the economy and unemployment were recovering from GDP contraction of 28 percent and unemployment highs of 15 percent.

Both exacerbated by the inept management of DT though the pandemic. Additionally the country was fractured, SCOTUS and the Fed bench was stocked with judges who misled congress to get on the bench or are corrupt - or both.

The one big difference between 2008 and 2020 was JB had been through the 2008 meltdown where the GOP congress nakedly stated they wanted BO to fail....They demanded a stringent budget and refused stimulus packages that led to a prolonged recovery...and...and....complete lack of housing stock being built.

So when we got out of Covid..JB erred on the side of stimulus (remembering 2008) and with friendly congress (that existed second half of DT term BTW)..sent a lot of stimmie out.

The good - No recession post Covid...The cost...inflation... Getting out of tough economic situations ain't free....
