Pittsburgh’s Jewish Democrats consider
voting for Trump after Harris campaign
cozies up to anti-Israel politicians in Pennsylvania

by Ethan Dodd

Pittsburgh’s Jewish community is putting the Harris-Walz campaign on notice as they hurdle toward Election Day: stand with Israel and denounce anti-Israel activists or you’ll face Democratic defections at the ballot box. The backlash has been brewing since the Harris campaign hosted speakers at Steel City rallies who had blamed Israel for the October 7 attacks that killed 1,200 people in southern Israel, despite explicit pleas from the Jewish community. The campaign ignored those pleas, a person familiar with the conversation told The Post, and went on to give speaking roles to Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey and Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, opening for Barack Obama and Tim Walz, respectively.

I'm a Progressive Feminist Democrat -- Voting for Trump and GOP

Rona Kaufman from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

After witnessing the horrors of Oct. 7 and after realizing that too many Democratic Party elected officials and constituents lack the moral clarity to respond effectively to the war Israel is fighting and to the threat of the political ideology of Islamism, I have decided to vote Republican.

On Nov. 5, 2024, I will vote for James Hayes, Stacy Garrity, Dave McCormick — and, reluctantly, Donald Trump.

Most people believe that this is an important election, that its results might even determine the future of our democracy. I agree with them.

And that is why I am voting for the party that is more likely to contain Iran and remind it and its terror proxies that America will defeat their threats to democracy and freedom; more likely to support Israel in its defensive, existential war; and more likely to protect civil rights by punishing unlawful acts of violence and antisemitic harassment on college campuses.

Amen, and welcome to the fight.

We can agree to disagree and debate other issues, but on these existential threats, Democrats have done nothing but created catastrophes.

Kaufman starts with the disgrace in Afghanistan, too.

Be sure to read it all.

Exactly. Trump may be in NC because his campaign believes WI is sewn up for him. Or whatever. None of this means much.

Yea.. this final day strategy means something, but not sure what..

What we can guess is that the Harris campaign has decided they desperately need PA and that they view it as a 911 pre-election with 4 events scheduled, all in PA.

Trump in PA & MI makes sense, but a day before rally in NC either means he’s worried or, at least, feels the need to shore it up.

With the huge numbers of early voters I can’t imagine any campaign events will have any impact at all. I mean, Kamala could give an actual bj on stage and it wouldn’t change anything. Or in light of what we just saw, Trump could give one.

Haha.. it’s about turnout though.

Let’s say Dems reach the ballot advantage of 430k for tomorrow in PA.

That’s well within the margin that Trump could quickly erase if his voters turnout tomorrow.

Harris needs the cities to turn out for her tomorrow in PA.
