You literally think the place that generates the most fake news is the best place to get news.

By any matrix, X reigns Supreme.   For misinformation.

Truth Social and Parler were right leaning. X actually allows both sides to speak without being banned. We've all just been so conditioned to think that it's normal for social media to censor one side that an equal opportunity platform blows some people's minds.

The difference between liberals and far left authoritarians are who they think that freedom of speech applies to. Which one are you?

The assassination attempt was an obvious breakdown in security that never should have happened. Beyond that, I have no knowledge to form an opinion. Hopefully this issues have been corrected moving forward.

So giving Trump all the benefit of a doubt, he is arguing that Cheney is a war monger because she has not served in combat. He is saying that if she understood what it is like if nine rifles are pointed to your head, she would be less of a hawk. So using this logic, old men should not be making laws ruling the bodies of young pregnant women since they have not experienced pregnancy. I guess I understand it now, right?

Just another example of Trump needing others to explain what he is saying. The guy has as much problem communicating as Biden does.

In the span of a few hours, Andy, you went from “Trump wants to murder Americans” to a much less batsh8t crazy analysis because some random guy with the screen name of a 70s southern rock band asked you for clarity.  That’s nuts.

Of course he was following the war monger angle—-he actually said it— if you think that’s a problem I can appreciate and debate that all day.

Yet, on the assassination, your analysis is much more measured in spite of a stunning, almost comical strong of events leading to a guy dying horrifically, another being injured and a Kennedy-style head explosion by sheer dumb luck.  If Tom Clancy used what happened in book he would have been laughed out of existence.

What an interesting perspective you have.

With respect to pregnancy, the conventional wisdom shared by your people is that men can become pregnant and of course all that follows. I’m not sure why you’re hung up in the 1940s.  Be that as it may, you’re a proponent of a woman’s right to choose until birth?

The way I see it, a person’s right to vote is an important right of a citizen, and you wanting to eliminate the vote for certain people is also a thought out of the 1940s.

X doesn’t portray itself as an unbiased news source.

Any other false equivalences?

How is that relevant in any way?  Your perception (and the knuckle-draggers in both parties) are what's relevant.  How X portrays itself is meaningless if people use it for news.  Which is clearly happening.   You yourself likely use it as a primary source.  You've admitted to getting burned by bunk stories, I've seen you do it.  As have I.  Using it for information is stupid but it's happening, more and more.

Your statement is the highest form of hypocrisy because of this.

Not sure how I can be any clearer…

X is not a self declared unbiased news source.  It’s where you can go to get news, but always requires discernment.  As is with podcasts, Tik Tok, Facebook etc..

Fwiw.. the one story I was burned by, was covered by local news in the area before being debunked.

How many stories, just this week, have the media manipulated or lied about…

The Biden garbage comment & ignored cover up

Trump/Cheney

Pushing constant Nazi narratives about a rally with people of all religions and ethnicities in attendance

It all goes one way.  They burned their credibility somehow worse than they did during covid.   They need to be burned to the ground and have the ashes scattered into the ocean.

A “Wild West” is far preferable to a propaganda arm that cloaks itself in objectivity.

You don't have to be more clear.  It's irrelevant.  It makes no difference as long as people see it as news or treat it as news.

Another thing to consider ask yourself;  do some X accounts claim to be real news?  Obviously yes.  Do many others get treated like real news?  Again yes.  Your premise is completely flawed.

Unfortunately the same discernment you describe as needed on X is needed for MSM consumption but this has been the case as far as i remember.  They need to be burned to the ground?  I'm for it.  What should happen to X if it's worse and doing more damage?

The MSM is not a propaganda arm, the right has the most popular "news" network that's just foolish.

Have you ever asked yourself why things are the way they are?  I bet you haven't because you'd be much more upset at republicans who envisioned fox news manipulating voters long before it was created.  I'm for bringing back the fairness doctrine.  Are you?

The language Trump uses reflects his twisted, sick warped brain. It’s like when he says “Some people say Chris Christie is a sick fat pig, but I would never say that”. He knows the power of his words. He knows some sicko may act on them and he is just fine if they do. He was probably doing “The weave” and verbalizing an image of Liz Cheney that he would like to see. He’s one sick dude, just my opinion.

I can admit to getting overly excited sometimes and I know I’m not the only one here who does that at times. No one else will admit it though. One of the rules of Trumpism is to never admit fault for anything. Over these recent years, the political events are so crazy screenwriters would reject them as being too nuts to put in a movie.

Just reinstate Roe and I’d be satisfied. What I know is that pregnancy and the medical issues that can develop are far too complex to be governed by idiot politicians. Most men don’t even understand female anatomy. We all know that if the daughter of a respectable Republican politician gets pregnant, they will find a way for her to get what she needs to keep the family name clean.

I feel like both candidates have been steadily doing this for the past three months.

Parallel to a close football or basketball game, it might come down to the last verbal gaffe.
