Nah, I just don't hold actors as some form of moral authority that can influence or determine my own discernment and critical thinking.  If you want to follow and be influenced by an actor's political stance, go for it.

Clooney's views on Trump are provided to George by his wife Amal Alamuddin. "Happy wife, happy life!"

Either that or he's doing a polite version of his best DiNero imitation.

I love when people try to discredit actors with this line of reasoning. This just shows the depths that maga has to go to defend trump. What you just said equals you admitting he was right. All you got to go against his opinion is to attack what he does for a living?? Lol 😂

Particularly when among Republicans the most admired Republican politician fron 1980 - 2015 was an actor by trade, and the most admired from 2016 - present was a TV personality

Doesn’t this make sense though? He has worked in and around big business, politics, high society for decades, without much fuss until, well, you know.

Hmmm

"In 2015, Trump's lawyer Alan Garten called Trump's legal entanglements "a natural part of doing business" in the U.S.[5][6] While litigation is indeed common in the real estate industry,[5] Trump has been involved in more legal cases than his fellow magnates Edward J. DeBartolo Jr., Donald Bren, Stephen M. Ross, Sam Zell, and Larry Silverstein combined.[7] Numerous legal matters and investigations occurred during and after Trump's presidency, some being of historical import."

Say Her Name, Joe: Trump Calls Rachel Morin's Mother

KAREN TOWNSEND

An illegal alien from El Salvador who was charged in connection with Rachel Morin's rape and murder was extradited to Maryland from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was on the run for killing Morin in August 2023.

He was apprehended in a sports bar in Oklahoma on Friday. The 23-year-old waived his extradition hearing on Monday.

Victor Martinez-Hernandez raped and murdered Rachel as she was out on a jog along the Ma and Pa Trail. She was snatched off the path and dragged into the woods. Her body was found in a culvert. He was held without bail over the weekend as a fugitive from justice. He is charged with first-degree rape and murder.

As he was being escorted back to Maryland, former President Trump called Rachel's mother, Patty, and her family to offer his condolences. She said she was “deeply touched” by his “honest compassion.”

Should white people be banned from black churches? So you do believe in segregation, only as it pertains to your beliefs.

No but I believe calling a place a black church isn't really accurate when 90% of the people who showed up for him there are white.

There ain’t no whit people going to that church. The church was full of white people. The pastor went out into the hood walking thru the street telling black folk trump was coming and inviting them. They laughed at him! Look it up! Does it mean he’s going to lose? No. But the truth is the truth.

hmm. well I can speak with first person knowledge on this. I belong to a small black southern gospel church. We have a few white parishioners as well as Hispanic but mostly black membership

Senor Trump may have his supporters within the black community. But at my church it is the opposite.

I realize this is anecdotal but it is indeed factual in my experience.

He showing up at a black church is IMO pure OPTICS. The man professes faith. And I am not his judge regarding the sincerity of it. But a guy who can read the room of his constituents would realize he needs to at least TRY to covet that demographic and especially in the black community.

Just because a person is in a church doesn't mean he is a Christian much like being in a garage doesn't make you a car.

Show me your righteous fruit Donald. **SMIRK*** That's what I thought.

Someone didn't watch the video of the pastor

"Truth is the truth"   You should stay away from that phrase Pete.

So yeah full of white people, but the guy who rented it out to them for some reason has a different opinion, wonder why that is. 🤔

And they still are reusing the same people at this event that have spontaneously appeared at others to show his "support" from the black community.

Not much fuss until... Riiiight.

Riiight.  As you shared, the numerous legal entanglements “…common in the real estate industry…” were hardly a blip on the radar for Trump.  He moved in and about the business world and social settings without much pushback.  When he ran for President, things changed dramatically.

I did a quick search on litigation, Jeff Bezos, Amazon and others.  There’s quite a bit perking there, and or has previously perked.  Have you ever looked at the number of cases v the US Government?  Yowza.

Btw, side note.  Over the years I’ve worked with many business owners who have done work with the State of NY.  When they speak of difficulty in obtaining final payment, payment generally on jobs large and small, they typically cite large developers and NYS government.  One friend expedited a haz mat cleanup on a local waterway to the tune of $500k+—dispatched as an emergency by NYS in NYS land/waters.   It was 14+ months for payment—a massive burden to a small business.  The reasoning was…they would get to it eventually, sit tight.
