What woulda happened if Denver was on the playoff bubble? Denver woulda been pretty pissed having to play with no QB while other teams games get changed.

Since it involved 3 QBs who ignored the rules, they would have done the same thing.  Moving the game a couple days like they did with the Ravens game wouldn't have changed the outcome, which was a loss.

Never forget that Joe Webb played QB for us in the snow game when Tuhrod was hurt and peterman got knocked out with a concussion. How the hell we made the playoffs that year is a miracle.

Different situation. The other teams had an active COVID outbreak on their team which meant that playing in a game could have given it to the other team's players.  This was isolated to a practice squad QB and the other QB's screwed themselves over by not wearing a mask and/or tracking devices for periods of time and then tried not to cooperate with the investigation by the NFL about it. The other players were put on the COVID list NOT because they were positive but because they were in lose contact with someone who has it and were not properly protected.  Therefore, out of an abundance of caution they had to be placed on the COVID list.

They have nobody to be pissed off or mad at except themselves for being morons.

4 QBs. Even practice QB.

I don't get the whole thing. A Ravens staff member admittedly broke NFL Covid protocols so they were negligent as well. So if a staff member breaks the rule it's ok and the team gets to have their game moved? This whole thing is a mess.

No...games are moved when it is MEDICALLY NECESSARY, as in when playing would potentially transmit the disease from one player to another player due to there being an active COVID outbreak on a team.  If there is no outbreak and it is NOT medically necessary, the games are played. I am not sure how else to word this so you can comprehend it better.  It doesn't seem to be that difficult to understand.

If there is a chance to  spread the virus by playing, move the game. If there is not, then play the game.  It has nothing to do with who started it, or how it started or anything else.

And completed a bomb to Deonte Thompson in OT to set up McCoy's waltz into the endzone through the snow for the W...and it was Peterman who started that game not T squared.

They should have moved the game to Monday, as a safety issue for Hinton. Luckily he didn’t get killed back there, since he wasn’t even able to practice at QB. I give him a lot of credit for the effort. I hope they let him get some reps at WR in the next couple weeks as a thank you.

Lindsay did get hurt because he was taking so many wildcat snaps. NFL screwed Denver, plain and simple.

This is ridiculous. Any one player could spread the disease. If he tests negative on Saturday, but it positive Sunday, then what? The league is playing with fire right now.

The Ravens game was moved only because on Thursday the still had active infections popping up because of the broken protocols.

They moved it to Sunday, but the positive infections had not stopped yet - so they had to move it again.  Now that the infections have stopped - the game will be played and the Ravens will be missing 8-15 players from their roster and may not be able to suit up enough guys to fill the entire active day roster.

The Broncos (as has been talked about several times) had a single player test positive from an external source.  Just like the Bills did with Knox earlier and Norman 2 weeks ago).  On initial review of the monitoring data - no one was deemed a close contact and practice continued.  The NFL then began a review of facility cameras and discovered that the QBs all got together inside (against protocol) for a meeting and lunch (without masks) that was not recorded on the devices (against protocol again).  On reviewing the length of time, the fact that masks were not worn, that they meet inside - the league deemed them close contacts and put them on the Covid list.

It is no different than when Knox took out our TE group or Norman took out multiple DBs.  The NFL has stated several times - a competitive disadvantage will not cause the game to move - only a medical reason (ie and active infection).

My guess is if the Bronco game had been scheduled for Thursday night - with the active infected player caught that day - the game may have been moved to Sunday to ensure there was no other positives.  Since the game was already scheduled for Sunday and they had no positives Friday or Saturday- they felt safe playing the game from a medical perspective.

The fault lies with the Broncos totally on this and after the review - I expect the Broncos will also be fined and as this is their 2nd broken protocol - would not be surprised to see a mid round pick go bye bye.

If he test positive on Sunday - he is pulled out - the league then has to decide on contacts and who to pull.  If the team travelled to the stadium (or in the case of NE earlier the positive was on a Saturday).  The league will look and potentially move a game back a few days so the team does not get on a plane together or they can identify any additional positives.

when that team is home a positive on Saturday or Sunday has meant that player and his contacts go on the Covid list and the game is played as scheduled.

The NFL did not screw Denver - they followed the exact same scenario planning and guidance they used every time this situation has come up.  The difference is instead of a TE or DB grouping it was QBs.  I feel for Denver as it sucked, but they - not the NFL - decided to get together and eat lunch and meet without masks.  If they had followed protocols (which is why they are in place) the players would not have been considered close contacts and would have played.

Don’t blame the NFL for Denver’s issues.  This was on them.

This game was a National Football League embarrassment.  It was a sham.  Neither team played a QB.  At one point the passing stats were NO -8, DEN 0.  Thank goodness LA, SF gave a good game to watch.  A very good reminder to everyone how tough it is to play QB.

Nonsense!  90% of us were clamouring we could do a better job at QB than Peterman a couple of years back! 😁😇

They are tested on game days now. Obviously this did not happen. They do contact tracing to determine who is in proximity.

Ok, thank you. This explains it much better than I have seen elsewhere. Thanks for taking the time to explain it more in Layman's terms. I still think the NFL is just trying to figure it all out as they go. Everyone is still trying to figure this ***** out.

Denver game should have also been moved to Tuesday.  At least they could have signed a QB with NFL experience off the street, and given him two days to learn a limited playbook.
