Frankly medically it makes most sense - one team is travelling - and that is reason why they claimed for day moves but NFL is never consistent. This comment is 100% correct.

I agree that they probably won't move it to Buffalo...but there is a precedent for having an extra home game. Post-Katrina the Saints played a "home" game against the Giants at Giants Stadium...and the Giants ended up playing an extra game at home. 1
aristocrat Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 They should come to New Orleans so I can go to the game. Anybody know someone I could call?

The Giants got an extra home game when they played the Saints post Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Tagliabue’s reasoning for this was “9/11”. Yeah he may actually have been a worse commissioner than Goodell if that is possible.

While I agree with you that it won't happen, it wouldn't be unprecedented. A MNF game between the Giants and Saints was moved from New Orleans to the Meadowlands in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. So the Giants got 9 home games that season. Edited November 28, 2020 by holla83
thronethinker Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 I have a feeling that tomorrow may be the last game of the season, or at least for a while. 1

Beast Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Let's play them in Tampa so we can have a warm-up game on the Super Bowl field. 3
Matt_In_NH Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Is this a preview of what will happen for the first bills horn playoff game in a quarter century.
Beast Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 I could see New York State and Erie County doing this to the Bills. 4

Freddie's Dead Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Good to know that Santa Clara County isn't overreaching or anything. Play in LA or at the Murph?

While I get it, because we wouldn’t have to travel, we don’t complain when other teams have fans and we can’t.
bills6969 Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Seems a bit overkill. No fans in stands and everyone who will be in the stadium is tested on a daily basis. Pretty sure the COVID outbreaks that happen on teams are contracted outside of team activities. 3
