sooner or later, they'll actually realize that you know what you're talking about (although you've still gotta fess up to being wrong about antoine winfield!!).

Nah, I contested that Winfield was not the next Darrel Green, and he isn't. I said he had no ball skills, and he doesn't. I said he would not be as good as Champ Bailey and Chris McAllister, and he's not. I said he would miss time because of his wreckless style, and he did.

Think you have to put in perspective the ridiculous claims of the poster who raised that argument with me, Big John. I have readily admitted that Winfield has played a little better than I thought he would, but not much. He's been almost exactly as advertised by his play on the field at Ohio State, stout against the run and providing tight coverage at the expense of being in position to make plays on the ball.

I thought then by year three or the end of his contract the Bills would be looking to possibly upgrade over him, and of course by then they already had drafted Nate Clements, so it was more a matter of whether they thought enough of him to pay him like a #1. They did not. He was easily replaced by Terrence McGee who provided the kind of turnovers and big plays on special teams that I want to see from a corner as a fan. Anybody miss Antoine? Now McGee, that was a GREAT pick by Donahoe.

Is he stronger than the guy we had just a few years ago? I forget his name. He had blinding speed but would fall if there was a strong wind....the weakest NFL player I ever saw.

Also, how is the TE?

He doesn't have the speed Brown had, but Roscoe is a much better football player. Brown has no balance whatsoever and can't change directions with out stumbling. I don't want to totally undersell poor Roscoe, he does what he can, but he isn't very stout. I'll give you an example, Shaud Williams was tough to bring down in the SEC. Last year, he proved to be a relatively easy takedown for interested NFL defenses(which IMO puts his immediate future in doubt despite some decent garbage time numbers). It's just hard to hide small-small(short/slight) in the pro game. Look at Travis, when he came into the league at about 220, he was slow, but tough to bring down prior to putting up those 3.5 yards. He got sleek and now he has to keep his shirt tucked in to keep the wind from blowing him over.

I liked Everett the first time I saw him, he looked really good in 03' when Winslow was having an up-and-down year. He did not step up last year. It's a boom or bust pick, my hope is that he can become a player near what Randy McMichael is, but he is not anywhere near the polished receiver McMichael was at Georgia. I don't see him being a factor this season and the league is full of TE's with simialar or better talent than Everett who end up being grinders like Jason Dunn, Cam Cleeland, Daniel Graham etc.. It's amazing how few of them live up to their measurables as athletes. Normally, I would say it's a reach because he is so raw, but it's a very shallow draft. And based on the Roscoe pick, the Bills think the pool is even shallower than I do.

Randle El is a good player and he is only 5'10 180. You don't think that Roscoe will put on 10 pounds in a NFL?

315547[/snapback]

Wrong. Randle El is 5'10" 192 lbs. He has lots more meat on his bones.

Az hakim is even 5' 10, 185.

D Patten 5 10, 190.

W Cherbet 5 10, 188.

D Hall 5 8 187

S Moss 5 10 185

I don't know of ANY 3rd WR's that are successful and this small off-hand. Not saying he won't be good but I just don't know of any quite like him. HELP ME OUT HERE! Is there a productive WR in the NFL close to his size right now? I don't think so! In the past, maybe Desmond Howard but he was pretty much a non factor in the passing game. I WILL BE SURPRISED if this kid in very productive as a WR. Probably a very good punt returner though...

Oh that is right, Antonia Brown of the Redskins is close at 5 10, 175.... Just kidding!
