Does the name Katie Hnida ring a bell? She was the kicker for the U of New Mexico in 2003/4. She also was on the U of Colorado team before she transferred but never played for them. She actually kicked field goals and extra points at UNM. She also, allegedly, was raped by a teammate at Colorado, but that's another story.

Her name does not ring a bell, and I hope that an obscure 90s movie reference is in no way seen to belittle the Vandy kicker's accomplishments or Katie Hnida's accomplishments and trauma.
