Of course you need good players. But they could replace Kelce with an equally talented WR and still succeed.  Tight ends like Kelce are few and far between and a lot of productive offenses don’t have anyone like him.

there aren’t many WRs as talented as Kelce at catching the ball.

Ravens,  SF and KC were 3 of the top scoring offenses last year and all 3 were dependent on top TE play,  which is what is being discussed here...

Bills 4 TE's together have 35/245 and 5 TD's, so he's singlehandedly doing more than our whole TE corps.  Good for him.

That still don’t mean s***

but good for him

As far as Ravens go they don’t really have a QB who could throw to WR’s , but I agree with you on the rest

This year only 1 out of the top 10 scoring offenses has a stud TE like Kelce.  And that would be...the Chiefs with Kelce.  The next is Baltimore at 12 and again, as Putin said, it's because they have a QB who doesn't throw to WRs.

As for Kittle, just prior to the season you were telling us that he wasn't all that valuable to the 49'ers' offense.  Now he is.  What changed?

They are no longer a top 5 Offense.

Anyway, the comments re: last season stand.

So does the point that you don't need a good, much less great, TE to be a productive offense.

Other than 3 of the teams that finished in the top 5 last year...

last years data is valid.  3 of the best offenses relied heavily on great TE play.

it’s a simple truth

I rarely root for Washington but I have met Logan Thomas and he is a genuinely nice guy and Alex Smith is a real hard worker so I am rooting for Washington to break Steelers win streak.

He was an absolute beast tonight. Played the role of safety valve most of the game but also showed off his hands downfield, and his blocking was excellent. He's really upping his game as this season goes on.

who really cares - he's not a Buffalo Bill???

He was and some posters follow ex-Bills careers and lives.

If you are not interested ignore threads.

If the Bills kept him, he might very well be the best TE on the team right now. Although Knox had one of his best games last night.

Him letting a TD pass between his hands when we were playing the Patriots probably did him in.
