Allen's assault on the career NFL passing yards list(ongoing thread) UPDATED 10/21 - 85th place

Going to update this thread every week to list Allen's current place and some notables that Allen will be able to pass in the upcoming game.

 

EDIT: UPDATED post Titans game

 

Current Place: 85th

HOF QBs Passed Already: 9

 

With a 250 yard performance will pass:

• Charley Johnson

With a 300 yard performance will pass:

• Nobody

With a 350 yard performance will pass:

• Nobody

With a 400 yard performance will pass:

• Nobody

With a 450 yard performance will pass:

• Nobody

 

Players Allen passed last week(323 yards for Allen) - 4(Archie Manning, Steve Beuerlein, Steve Bartkowski, Daunte Culpepper)

 

Key Look Ahead: Allen is a little over 900 yards from passing 2 more HOF QB's...Bart Starr(533 yards) and Bob Griese(907 yards)

Key Look Ahead #2: Allen is a little over 2100 yards from passing Jim Harbaugh for 75th place.

That is a shocker and so is Kerry Collins at 20, one spot ahead of Joe Montana...Flacco just passed him last game for 19th.

- Randy Johnson(296 yards)

 

350 yard performance:

-None

 

400 yard performance:

- Rudy Bukich(400 yards)

As an aside to show how far the NFL has come in terms of passing...

 

For his career, Arnie Herber completed 40.1% of his passes, threw 81 TDs to 106 INTs and had a passer rating of barely over 50.

 

And was inducted into the NFL HOF.

So b.c a guy had bad stats back when football was played by normal men in the early 1900's Fitz should get in? That is a weak argument...

Who said that? I was merely showing what was considered great back in the late 30s and early 40s in terms of passing.
