Between Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis, Roberts and McKenzie, who are you going to drop, if they are all healthy. Certainly nobody from the first four. Roberts has been too valuable as a return specialist, I would think. That leaves McKenzie. McKenzie is never going to be a starter in the league, but he has carved out a nice role for himself with the ability to get deep on occasion when defenses are focusing on other receivers, and more importantly giving Buffalo an outside run threat on gadget plays. Hodgins gives you something completely different, a big guy with a big catch radius with an unusual ability (for a big man) to create separation with a double move, and supposedly great hands. What does Daboll want in his offense? He's just on the designated to return list. It means 3 weeks of practice and then either activated of shut down for the year. No one is getting dropped. It's a smart move using the new IR rules this year.

Remember it’s your team. 2 years ago Bills fans wouldn’t take a first for Foster because he was our great find. Now you have 3 guys who belong on the field in the NFL, Davis who’s doing well for a rookie and that’s really it. The rest are all expendable. It’s a lot better than it was, yes, but emotional attachment to players that could be easily replaced is still there.
billybrew1 Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Let's call it good news. He could add some wrinkles. Go Bills! 1
BillsFanThru-N-Thru Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 He along with Gabe Davis had a good camp and were making plays., then Isaiah hurt his shoulder. Here's an article about his first week. https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/2020/08/former-oregon-state-star-isaiah-hodgins-opening-eyes-at-the-buffalo-bills-training-camp.html
Ethan in Cleveland Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Three weeks of practice and he will "tweak" his shoulder to go back to IR. No room for another WR on the 53.
Buddo Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 From the highlight reel, it does appear he has good hands. Also looked like he was concentrating on bringing the football in before anything else - something Knox can learn from. Looked comfortable catching the football away from his body. I wouldn't be too quick to assume he won't get on the roster, as he can give something a little different, due to his size, and it's possible he can be worked into the offense in a game that doesn't mean so much, hopefully.

ProcessTruster Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 McBeanes basically went 7 for 7 in this years draft. Trust the Process. Hodgins was considered better than Davis in camp, for those who remember back that far.

We need that big slot WR that can help fill the gap we’re missing at TE when we face these zone defenses. And the Bills ARE missing that player - sux to say it but they are missing that player HUGE. 9 hours ago, TigerJ said: I'll be a little surprised if he makes a game day roster. H2o Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Has there been any update on Brown and his injuries? I wonder if there is any correlation here?

Well you get 3 weeks to activate or IR. So if someone gets hurt in the next 3 weeks... He can come on. If not, probably hits IR for the year.

We had a WR George Wilson ( on MNF, he intercepted Tony Romo and returned it for a TD in his first NFL start) who could not break into WR lineup so he practiced with defense and became a strong safety with good hands. That’s a blast from the past.. I remember George, he was a good player indeed..

Perhaps I should have qualified my post. I would be surprise if he is activated and makes a game day roster by the end of the season barring injury to a re ceiver ahead of him on the roster. 1

Look like he could have torqued that knee and possibly even ended up with a high ankle sprain from that. Hoping for the best.
Dkollidas Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Maybe he can replace some of Knox’s slot reps?
Comebackkid Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Didn't he have like zero drops in college?
djp14150 Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Facing Chargers he could go on air in his college town along with Oregon about playing for chargers....he’s likely not activated.
