Here's the synopsis:

By the way....the original was only 4 seasons??  I really felt like it was much longer (that's what she said).

Saved by the Bell is an upcoming American streaming television sitcom developed by Tracey Wigfield, that is set to premiere on November 25, 2020, on Peacock.[2] It is a direct sequel to the television series Saved by the Bell (1989–1993) and Saved by the Bell: The College Years (1993–1994), following some of the same characters.

Most of the main characters from the original Saved by the Bell series, except for Dustin Diamond as Screech, are reprising their roles.[3][

Plot[edit]

The series will center around a new group of Bayside High students from "overprivileged" and working-class families, among the latter of which were transferred to the school as part of a plan by now-California Governor Zack Morris—whose administration experiences controversy for closing too many low-income high schools—to send lower-income students to the highest-performing schools in the state.[5]

Cast[edit]

Main[edit]

  • Haskiri Velazquez as Daisy, a smart, ambitious sophomore who is excited at the prospect of attending Bayside High after her local school gets shut down.[6]
  • Mitchell Hoog as Mac Morris, the handsome, charming, privileged son of Governor Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski.
  • Josie Totah as Lexi, a sharp-tongued cheerleader.
  • Alycia Pascual-Peña as Aisha, Daisy’s fun-loving but ultracompetitive best friend who causes a stir when she tries to play football at Bayside.
  • Belmont Cameli as Jamie Spano, captain of the Bayside football team and Jessie’s sensitive man-child son.
  • Dexter Darden as Devante.is the solitary boy new of bayside
  • John Michael Higgins as Principal Toddman, who took over Mr. Belding's role as the head of Bayside High[7]
  • Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano, Jamie's mother and Guidance Counselor at Bayside High.
  • Mario Lopez as A.C. Slater, a physical education teacher and coach at Bayside High.

I'll probably check it out. I liked the original. College years was just ok. Never watched the new class.

I thought it was weird having Tori in the last season. Some episodes you'd have Tori, and other episodes Kelly would be there. Maybe Tiffany had other things going on and they decided to replace her for 10 episodes?

As a Peacock subscriber, I have heard about this. No I'm not watching. My youth is sacred and I'll remember the original on Saturday mornings around going bowling at Southgate lanes and watching "real" wrestling.

Why would Screech not be a part of this? He was down here in Charleston doing a Saved by the Bell trivia night at a local bar a couple of months ago, so hes still 'riding the wave' and doing nothing else. You would think he would be involved in this too.

Screech had a major falling out with them, which included weird stuff like a sex tape and a “expose” of the cast. They all hate him.

wish they would make amends though— he is  obviously a core part of that show.

Screech and Michael Richards are in the same boat, rowing nowhere. Neither is ever getting work, again.

Only if Daisy discovers the assassination plot  aimed at Governor Morris on her first day at school.

The show begins at the 3pm bell, the day before the California Presidential Primary.

Mark Paul Gosselaar  has a pretty enjoyable podcast where he watches an episode in order from the beginning and talks about what went into the making of the episode and behind the scene facts, etc.

This implies that Screech ever actually got work outside of this show.  I'm not sure "celebrity" boxing counts.

No I will not watch the reboot despite growing up watching and enjoying it.  A guy I knew in college was a professional Saved By the Bell Trivia player.  Standard rules for Saved by the Bell Trivia are no Ms. Bliss years and no college years.
