Was hoping we would have the division locked up by Thanksgiving but the Fish look pretty solid. Let’s look at remaining schedule: Bye: going to be a long week after today’s loss Chargers: Herbert is a stud but rest of team not very good. Must win. 1-0 @niners: Niners are banged up. Will Jimmy G play? 2-0 Steelers: May be the best team in NFL. 2-1 @Broncos: another cross country road trip. Broncos are pretty bad tho. 3-1 @Pats: Can we sweep the Pats? Will the universe allow it? Doubtful. 3-2 Dolphins: Looking like this game will be for the Division. 4-2? I think Dolphins have an easier schedule: @Broncos @Jets Bengals Chiefs Pats @Raiders @Bills We’re really going to need to win at least 4 to take the division I think. I saw 12-4 and I’m sticking with it the only game that people could put in the loss column is the Steelers and this Steelers team was one play from losing to the Cowboys with a 4th string QB
zow2 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I thought for sure the law of averages would catch up to Miami today. they’ve been winning with big defensive and ST plays, more so than offense. seems like they will just keep on winning. Maybe it’s just the year of the fish.

They had a depleted roster last year, but played hard for their coach (who I think is excellent). The restocked in the offseason, and had a solid draft. Looks like we're back in the early/mid 90s. Bills and Dolphins duking it out for the AFC East. But, to your point, we need them to lose 3 of the next 7 to be safe. Then the Bills have to do their part. Yeah until Lawrence goes to the Jets and you'll have 3 teams in the afce beating up on each other. We have to beat the Chargers, Broncos and Niners no matter what. And we can absorb a loss to Pittsburgh & NE as long as we beat Tua on week 17. 1
Dkollidas Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I think the bye is coming at a great time. Get healthy, and go after it. McDermott knows how to motivate his team and I think they’ll be up for the challenge. One play away from 8-2. We’re not KC level good, but we’re just a notch below I think. 1
Orlando Buffalo Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I expect us to be 11-4 going into last week and dolphins will be 10-5, therefore due to tiebreakers unless that loss is to the Pat's we will have locked up division.
QLBillsFan Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Agree Pats are going to be super difficult for both of us. Bills 4-0 and Dolphins 1-2. Bills and Pats away very very tough for phins late in season. Bills 5-1 wins division. So we are missing the playoffs?
BuffaloRebound Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I just don’t think we are physical enough or disciplined enough to go very far. Josh and the passing game have been winning us games, but come December and January it becomes harder to win that way. I can’t see us beating New England right now. Miami will be difficult. We should beat Denver and Chargers. Niners are banged up but will not be easy. Can’t see us beating Pittsburgh. I think we go 3-3 and lose in 1st round of playoffs.
Nelius Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 We have a bye week and will heal up thankfully. Yes we have Pittsburgh, but the Fins have the Chiefs? I feel like there's a legitimate underserved bias being given to the Dolphins right now, I don't know if it's just typical Buffalo gloomporn or if IQ's spamming has wormed its way into some brains here. I don't see this great schedule disparity and think a lot of you may be overrating the 49ers (our opponent) and underrating the Raiders (their opponent). Yes it will likely come down to the final weeks, but thankfully we have a +1 advantage and get to see them again. 2

I'm by no means making a prediction just sharing some thoughts. Because of the soft few weeks for the Dolphins coming up, things will tighten. But, I think there will be some positive separation by our Bills by the time they play each other in week 17. We also play 4 out of final 6 games with teams under .500.
Do The Reich Thing Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 The difference with us and the Dolphins is they coach aggressive and we play not to lose. Law of averages says that they will come back down to earth and that will eventually bite them in the butt. We got our law of averages today. However, they are beating the teams they should and beating them convincingly. I'd like to see how they play from behind with Tua. They haven't had to do that yet.
Greg S Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Nothing is ever easy for the Bills but I will give it a guess as to how the season plays out from here. Chargers - Win. Herbert has been impressive but overall they are a bad team coming east for a 1:00 game at SF - toss up. Tough game. SF may be out of the race given the division they are in. I will say the Bills win but not overly confident. Pitt- LOL moving on. Loss at Den - Win. The Broncos are bad, Even though its on the road the Bills should get the W. at NE - toss up. Like the SF game but I predict a loss here. Wouldn't be shocked if the Bills won. But Bill>>>>Sean. If not for a Newton fumble the Pats could have won in OP. Miami - could be for the division. Josh plays well against Miami. Lets see how Mr. Alabama does throwing the ball in what is sure to be windy and possibly snowy conditions. Tough game but a Bills win.
streetkings01 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Dolphins relying on special team plays and defensive turnovers to win games. It’s not sustainable, eventually the forced turnovers go away and the special team blocked punts and punt return touchdowns stop. I don’t know what the Dolphins are......I have yet to see them play a normal game with Tua at QB. They remind me of the 2004 Bills when we went on a run starting 3-6 and winning 6 straight games relying on defensive turnovers/touchdowns and special teams......it all dried up the last game of the season and we lost a dog fight to a team resting its starters. 1

NO defense kills us. Do people know theres three wildcards now? You think all 3 wildcards will be better than 10-6?

I'm definitely not "LOL" writing off the Steelers game.. We just beat Seattle convincingly and lost a last second 50/50 game at Arizona.
Success Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 The OP's take is basically what I had in mind. There are some real variables for the stretch run. I hate that we're going home, west coast, home, Denver in the course of a month. That's a lot of travel back & forth. Also not a huge fan of all of the night games. Kind of funny how I wanted to see that for the Bills for many years, but now it seems like it adds an unknown into the mix. Bad teams get extra hyped for those primetime games. It feels like we at least have to come out of the gate w/ those 2 wins against the Chargers and Niners. Then, it really comes down to the division games.
P Riv Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Food for thought: https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/penalties-per-game Dolphins make less mistakes than us, are more disciplined and obviously pay attention to Special Teams. We have more talent, but they play smarter and more disciplined which levels the field a bit. It isn't going to be easy... Flores will talk to his sith mentor Lord Belichick before they play us, no doubt.
Process Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 We will be favored in at least 4 of remaining 6 games... Could end up being 5 or 6. There are zero excuses for not winning the division.

Don't see us being favored against PIT, NE and MIA either and 2 of those are also primetime games. They will be favored at home against Miami. They will also be favored vs the Chargers and at Denver. The might be slight underdogs vs NE and SF. They will definitely be underdogs vs Pitt. IMHO
