bills6969 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Ok, it’s looking very likely its come down to the wire with the Fish to win the AFC East...ughhh. Was hoping we would have the division locked up by Thanksgiving but the Fish look pretty solid. Let’s look at remaining schedule: Bye: going to be a long week after today’s loss Chargers: Herbert is a stud but rest of team not very good. Must win. 1-0 @niners: Niners are banged up. Will Jimmy G play? 2-0 Steelers: May be the best team in NFL. 2-1 @Broncos: another cross country road trip. Broncos are pretty bad tho. 3-1 @Pats: Can we sweep the Pats? Will the universe allow it? Doubtful. 3-2 Dolphins: Looking like this game will be for the Division. 4-2? I think Dolphins have an easier schedule: @Broncos @Jets Bengals Chiefs Pats @Raiders @Bills We’re really going to need to win at least 4 to take the division I think. 1
GETTOTHE50 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 fish will lose to the chiefs, pats, raiders, and us. coach cheat cant wait to beat up on tua
MAJBobby Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Chargers - Win Niners - Win Steelers - Going with Loss for now Broncos - Win Patriots - Win 11-4 going into Mia Game Mia Broncos - Win Jets - Win (though could drop this one they never sweep Jets) Bengals Win (for now) Chiefs - Loss Pats - Loss Raiders - Loss Mia 9 - 6 going into Bills game. 2 1
somnus00 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 In the offseason, I couldn't believe anyone was writing off the Dolphins. They had a depleted roster last year, but played hard for their coach (who I think is excellent). The restocked in the offseason, and had a solid draft. Looks like we're back in the early/mid 90s. Bills and Dolphins duking it out for the AFC East. But, to your point, we need them to lose 3 of the next 7 to be safe. Then the Bills have to do their part. 1
wvbillsfan Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Defense and special teams are winning the dolphins games right now. 2

I hope you're right. But I can easily see this Dolphins team beat the Pats and Raiders. My guess is that we're both likely at 11 - 4 going into the last game for the AFCE title.

Probably the best of the ones off the Belichick tree by far. This year I think we are simply better than they are talent wise but with their 2 high picks from the Texans in next years draft they could close the talent gap significantly or maybe even pull even. Patriots will have a lot of Covid opt out players back as well so it won't get any easier. 1

And I went against history thinking they for once sweep the Jets. How they are winning right now is un sustainable 1
Rc2catch Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Tua has failed to break 200 yards in 2 of the 3 wins. And every week there’s more tape of him. Not saying he won’t get better he should, but there’s a high probability there’s gonna be some growing pains as these games become more important. I don’t want to discredit them because they’re a solid team but stop looking over the schedule like it’s so easily predicted. Thing change quarter by quarter. 1
GETTOTHE50 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 i have a hard time even thinking they will beat denver this week. vic always has that defense playing hard. 1

Their defense and special teams are playing out of their mind right now and making it easy on tua. Eventually the turn overs and special teams will dry up. Look at the Steelers last year as a simple example
BigDingus Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I hate looking ahead like this, as it simply never goes the way it looks on paper. Bad teams have played us close, good teams have played us close, the offense still disappears in the 3rd quarter... you just never know with this team. I'm hoping for better, but I think 3-3 through the final stretch is likely. Just need one of those wins to be against Miami. 1
McBean Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Dolphins are frauds. Luck will run out very soon. 2
billieve420 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 One positive is that Allen has owned the Dolphins his whole career. Tua has given them some juice but Flores got that defense making plays and scoring on turnovers. That is how they have been winning games during this stretch. Will see how long that is sustainable and if Tua can carry them while he works to get situated. 1

That's not to take away from them - winning is winning. But that's not a sustainable long term idea. Let them win a couple the right way first before we crown them. 2

With Tua playing so well I think the Dolphins will win the division and we'll be just outside the play-off curve. NO defense kills us.
