BillsfaninSB Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Are there NFL and/or team rules that require a player to practice a certain amount of time before they can play on Sunday? For example, can Tre rest all week but is still eligible to play on Sunday?

Big Turk Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 No not necessarily but if they can't practice all week, what is the likelihood they are going to contribute in any meaningful way on Sunday? More likely they cause more problems than they solve at that point.
Bob in STL Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 (edited) Yes. No rule states you have to practice to play. In today’s game you better be at least learning the game plan and looking at film if you are resting an injury and then going thru the walkthroughs. Edited November 12, 2020 by Bob in STL
machine gun kelly Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 There are hundreds of examples where a player is nursing an injury, doesn’t practice all week, and still plays the following Sunday if cleared by medical.
