Dogface Greybeard is hot on the trail!

Neither.

Not to go off on a tangent, I considered enlisted as drafted, but I better clarify it.  Drafted?

I thought of a better way to determine that.  What was his rank?

Awe come on! Nope. I said typewriter,  not trombone.

A clue to the name of his hometown:  If you replace a vowel with another in a Red Hot Chili Peppers song name, that's his town. But, of course,  it's not in that state... Because I drive thru his home state on the way to and from Upstate, New York.

His last name lived in Mayberry.  His first name lived on Sesame Street.

LOL, I had to look it up. I knew I'd recognize the name, but no way I would've gotten it on my own. Well maybe with this last clue.

That's  okay... It's a name that people remember, well older people... But doesn't jump right out...

I don't mind people researching clues! That's  how we learn!
