In 2008, I decided to take my wife (then girlfriend) to Buffalo to meet my extended family.  Conveniently, I made it the weekend the Bills were playing the Browns on Monday night football.  It was November 17th.  We got there around 5pm or so to start the pre-game festivities.   The temp was around 32 or so degrees, and by kick-off it was down to maybe 28 or 29.  I swear I haven't been that cold since.  I had hand warmers inside my gloves, down in my underwear, and in my shoes.  My poor wife is from New Orleans, and I remember looking over at her, and she looked so miserable...at halftime she said "I'm going to sit in the car."  I couldn't be mad at her.  Ever since that game I've never gone to a Bills game past October lol.

You see, it was memorable - albeit tough.  A dome game probably not so much, especially Buffalo vs. Cleveland.  Even sounds like a freezing match of the incompetents 🥵

Nothing feels better than getting home or into a warm bar after a freezing home game at the Ralph.  Especially if you have dry feet!

Also, I think McD does great job of getting them mentally prepared too.

How do I know?

I don't. So I wouldn't offer it on a forum or anywhere.

We “know” because the evidence suggests he does.

That said, the notion of a coach being in charge of mental preparedness is overblown. It's on the individual players themselves to be mentally prepared to play. That’s why players who have that ability on a consistent basis are far more desirable than those that don’t. The world is littered with busts who couldn’t do that at the pro level.

Doesn’t every Hopkins fantasy owner start him every week? He’s a matchup proof starter.

O'Brien starts David Johnson over him in his flex spot I hear.

After he came off they showed him sitting on athletic trainers table getting his ankle tapped. If I had to guess, if it was necessary he would have gone back in. Best guess is he tweaked the ankle... I think he's fine.

Good to hear

Sorry to say but I would start him vs the Bills if I had him for this very reason

Correct, Hopkins starts every week

McDermott talks at 4, but I doubt he will know (or say) anything. Hopefully he practices by Thursday

LOL "I was just taking a shower then I came right out here"

"I haven't talked to our athletic trainers yet today"

I picture the trainers chasing McD down the hallway "Coach McDermott, can I give you our injury update? "Sorry Nate, I can't hear you, I got a banana in my ear"

What? He held him catchless for the entire first half of the playoff game, and then caused a fumble on Hopkins first reception. Yes, Nuk had a few big catches in the 2nd half (including a deuce), but I think you’re overstating

This sounds more like what I remember of the last Hopkins/Tre meeting

Brother the game was terrible!!  We lost the game, but had a chance to win it on a last seconds field goal, but Lindell missed wide right...talk about adding insult to injury...

And I couldn't agree more....the best thing about that night was getting to my Uncle Reggie's house and seeing a table FULL of La Nova's chargrilled bbq wings and Leonardi's pizza!!!!

My take on a typical Monday afternoon McD press conference. Some names have been changed to protect the innocent.  Any semblance of real life events is purposeful.

Warren:  Hey Sean.  Great Win.  I was wondering if you could comment on the size of Timmy's nose.  Is that the biggest nose you have ever coached?

Sean: Yeah, it's a big nose.

Warren:  Thanks Sean.

This is a tough fantasy call. Allen has become one of the better throwing QBs in the league but Murray running is still extremely integral to the Cardinals offense and gives him a high weekly floor.

That was before he got paid now White is just a good CB. I have a feeling White is going to get Nuked.

Would you ever not start Hopkins in fantasy?

Probably vs a Revis type CB, I have done it in the past and it has worked out. I'm guessing Tre will not be following him around so Nuke will get his 8 90 1TD type day at minimum.

FWIW, Arizona's defense is ranked right below the Bills defense in terms of yards per game. Nearly identical for both run and pass.

Something to think about.
