Jones now has played 20 games and has 21 INTs and 15 lost fumbles, which gives him the most turnovers(36 total) through his first 20 games for a QB since Ryan Leaf had 41...

Think it might be time to realize he isn't the guy they thought he was and maybe is more like the guy every other team thought he was...

He is young and it's still a bit early to call him a bust. I don't think he's a franchise QB and he certainly shouldn't have been drafted that early. I think he can be a serviceable QB to a slightly above average QB.

He is good right until you need him to be. And then he isn't.

The Giants should clean house - starting with Dave Gettleman - maybe hold onto Judge (he has got them playing hard they are just bad) but start again at QB.

But isn't that a bust? Someone who plays far below their draft status? The dude is likely a career backup and probably a good one but nobody gets picked 6th overall to have that career.

“I think he could be a serviceable qb” means you think he’s a bust

Depends on how you view the situation. Yes a bust due to his draft position. No to a bust because he should have never been drafted that high. He had by most experts at best a 3 round grade. So, I guess you can say the Giants brass blew it. I'm not sure the blame falls on Jones. We are making lots of assumptions here too.

That QB class was not good. I think I said before Kyler Murray changed course and decided to declare and play football that it was pretty close to 2013 in terms of suckitude. I did have a high second on Haskins (probably too high) and a mid second on Lock but Murray was the only round 1 Quarterback in that draft. If he hadn't declared it would be an awful class.

And Gettleman could have taken his future QB the year before and been all set....instead he went RB.

Gotta be honest, Jones is a lot better than I thought he’d be.  I thought he’d be a total disaster and he has not.  He’s got a bad OL across the board, no running game without Saquon and no TE to speak of.  He does have two good WRs though, but that’s not nearly enough.  He has some bad habits - like forcing passes as he moves (or falls) backwards.  He’s got to clean that up.  Of course it’d help him if he could trust his OL and had a place to step up.  But he often shows great accuracy and he can get through progressions.  Clean up those bad habits, get some help (esp OL) and season for a couple more years and he might be something.

He is good when everything is perfect. I said this a couple of weeks ago about him in the Eagles game. Give Jones a clean pocket and a perfect drop and he makes good reads and gets the ball out with perfect timing. But as soon as anything is off his decision making completely collapses and he just doesn't have the physical abilities to overcome that. Like Josh will always get away with the odd bad decision because of his athleticism and his arm. Every bad decision Jones makes seems to be a turnover.

He threw a TD to Dion Lewis that was a thing of beauty last night. Then latter on the extremely well designed two point attempt, he hesitated and threw it late. Lost them the game

Two awful picks. Hes good in the sense he can make all the throws and whatnot, but he is not going to last long if he keeps turning the ball over like he does. Hes like Jameis Winston in that sense. He's good enough and makes enough plays to keep you hoping, then he is getting tackled and throwing it directly to a defender during a promising drive

I’m sure you’re right.  I haven’t seen him play that much and don’t really have a reason to watch the Giants.  What’s weird with Jones is that his mistakes seem so correctable.  But I guess if he keeps making those kinds of mistakes then that’s a terrible sign.

Gettleman should have been fired the second he used the number 2 overall pick on a RB in a highly regarded QB draft.  That pick could have yielded a treasure trove of draft capital, and he just flat out squandered it.

Good mid range QB.  Slow eyes.  It showed in the 2 point conversion.  Saw the man but his reaction and throw were late.  Not a franchise type but he can get them to the playoffs.
