First game, but he looked bad. The Fish are going to waste a pretty good D this year playing that little guy.

If Tua gets hurt or benched the AFCE could go down to the wire.

I agree - look out for Burrow!

He’s on a horrid team and still screams “franchise QB”. You can just tell. They are rebuilding but they do have some pieces. Arrow up in Cincy.

Yep. Burrow has been impressive. Poised beyond his years and seems to have a total grasp of what defenses are trying to do out there.

This is lazy.  Trevor Lawrence is a better NFL prospect than Tua, no doubt.  But they way you just described Tua is exactly how a lot of people described Drew Brees... and Tua's college film is far more impressive.  His accuracy/touch is elite.  Not saying he's guaranteed to be an NFL star but to be that dismissive this early is short sighted.

The issue is that Tua is a high risk pick because Drew Brees is the only comp. Guys without ideal size that succeed are largely electric athletes like Wilson and Murray, and Brees is a historical outlier in terms of accuracy and precision. So drafting Tua is basically betting that he's a historical outlier.

Maybe he is and he's a good prospect, but with Houston's high pick going to Miami and their likely position to be able to get into the QB market again, Tua isn't going to get time.
