If the guys not good enough for another team, then he’s perfect for us

was a team , it was true enough.
These days feel  quite different since Pegulas came along .

McBeanes do a nice job being thorough scouting for potential players. Both on and off season

But that would mean that Beane did good. We prefer not to talk about that stuff here

It was fine to talk about Beane and McDermott positively around here until they started this year 5-2...now it’s apparently time to fire them 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It's still fine.

Say some positive stuff.

The Bills have gone thru a rough stretch so there are going to be a lot less of the unreasonably giddy "how great is Daboll" type threads when the Bills fall back to 20th in the league in scoring.

It's a win or lose game.

Too much credit when teams do well and too much criticism when they do not.

Oh there can certainly be criticism, just don’t know how we went from “Beane is a salary cap genius” to “Beane needs to be fired” so quickly by so many people

Bad ideas are passed along faster than some communicable diseases.

I assume they are not the same people but I could be wrong.

The Spain experiment ended poorly and wasn't cheap.

Feliciano was a good, inexpensive pickup but he hasn't played a snap this season yet and I suspect if they cut him today he'd probably end up on someone's practice squad like Spain is right now.

Those guys filled a role but they weren't exceptional.

Lorax was an NFLDPOY candidate.

Brown lead the NFL in tackles.

Poyer and Hyde were instantly one of the top 10 safety tandems in the league.

There is a difference between adequate and exceptional.

Spain and Feliciano were above average starting guards in 2019, both signed inexpensively. I think Mongo ends up making an impact in 2020 but we shall see. D.Williams has been a dam fine RT. Jordan Phillips was a borderline probowl player in 2019 and effective in 2018.

I could dig up a few other examples but I think Beane has found a good amount of gems. Hopefully Lee is added to the list.

The Bills were like 18th in yards per carry allowed last year.........and are 21st this year(tied with Baltimore among others).

They weren't stout last year when they had healthy starting LB's and a $50M 1-tech.

But don't worry they get Star and his $11M remaining guaranteed back next year and then the rushing attacks around the league will be sorry!

Sorry, I thought we had a top 5 defense last year. I must be wrong.

What’s the deal here? Did this thing stall out? We need LBs bad

They have to go through Covid stuff before things can be finalized

Yes you are wrong they weren't anywhere near top 5 against the run..........they struggled to defend against the run..........the Texans turned that playoff game by running the ball between the tackles........it's been an issue since they dealt Dareus.........so almost the entire McDermott era.

Fortunately a lot more yards and points come from the passing game............and last year their pass rush was healthy,  their LB's we're healthy and their secondary was healthy.

That hasn't been the case this year...........but if they were healthy they would still be mediocre against the run because neither Star nor any of their 1T's have played well the past few seasons and Edmunds is uninstinctive and subsequently ineffective against the run.

People forget that the run defense last year got derailed from weeks 7 to 11. The freaking Redskins ran over this team. The rush defense looked solid weeks 1 to 5 but then Harry got hurt (and still hasn't recovered) and Milano was banged up after the Titans game.

But they got Milano back healthy, signed Lugiet and got Star going. Overall they had issues with the run last year but because the team finished strong in that respect it got swept under the rug

You should change your name to The Dareus Whisperer.

It’s somewhat strange that you continue to bring up a guy that is currently out of the league after we traded him 3 years ago.

They gotta het Klein off the field. This dude is killing them...he is in position to make plays and constantly whiffs.

The question is will Lee be in position to make the play. Here's hoping because we could really use some help there
