Side note: Its nice to be on this side of the conversation.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 I was getting ready to post this but then I did a quick search. You see everyone how this works? If we cut lets say Murphy, would we have enough room to get him?

atlbillsfan1975 Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Just now, Royale with Cheese said: I was getting ready to post this but then I did a quick search. You see everyone how this works? If we cut lets say Murphy, would we have enough room to get him? At this point you save Murphy’s game checks. I think he started the season projected to make $7.5 mil(someone check my figures if I am wrong I apologize) he already has been paid 7 of the 16 games worth that. So you would roughly free up $4 million. 1
Rk_Bills86 Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Depends on how the Bills view him for this year but then also moving forward. Is this someone you want to have after this season? Trade and rework his contract - bonuses are spread out over up to 5 years of time. If it's just for this year, I'm not sure he's worth it - Murphy might not be a Pro-bowler, but he's not exactly uesless. You'd have a better chance of convincing me we go after Watt. There have been interesting rumblings about teams having mini-fire sales but being super stingy on players/costs. It'll be interesting. Jets/Giants/Pats/Vikings/Texans all mentioned. There are some interesting pieces I could give up later draft picks for among those teams.
ALLEN1QB Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Really you want someone that gives up on their team in a Bills uniform? I just don't get it. 2 1 1

Will have to move Money out, to make it happen. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/carlos-dunlap-6562/
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Unless you can send them back a contract with the pick. Maybe it could fit financially. But I’m good on the DEs. I want interior help. DTs
dollars 2 donuts Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 (edited) Freakin darn it! This is a half way decent team, but they need help, right now. They need somebody and I think we are going to end up at the trading deadline standing alone. Edited October 28, 2020 by dollars 2 donuts
atlbillsfan1975 Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 I don’t think this defense is in need of outside help. I think or want to believe we are going to see a very good defense come together when it matters most. I think a couple guys getting healthy will go a long way to us seeing the 2017-2019 defense.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 If he gets cut , which is likely to happen by Bengals, perhaps we kick the tires. I don't think anyone is trading for him.
CSBill Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 I know little of where he's at in ability these days, but if he can play inside it is worth a serious look.
BuffaloMatt Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Perhaps they trade with an agreement to keep half of the contract.

If we can get one, big if I know, everyone around him will look better. Edited October 28, 2020 by buffaloboyinATL 1
Ethan in Cleveland Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 6'6 285. He would be bigger than every one of our DE's. He is on the wrong side of 30 but he would be an anchor opposite Jerry. I'd be ok with this move though a bit hesitant due to age. Give them a conditional 7th that moves to a 6th and see if they will eat some of his salary.

Hebert19 Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 And he's going to Seahawks. And unfortunately he'd be able to suit up for our game vs them 1
ngbills Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Uggh. Seattle lacking a pass rush and they make a move. Yannick gone; Griffen gone; Dunlap gone. Any of these three could have been had and all would have helped this team. And its not about salary cap. BAL had less space than us and Seattle around the same.
