Billsfan1972 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) Very simply, the Bills lose Sunday and I will annoint it as bad a loss as any since McD became coach. Forget the blowouts & playoff losses, the Bills can not afford to lose to the Patriots this week. I can't think of a game that will bother me more then if they get beaten by Belichek again. Over 29 years of fanhood Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 I can definitely think of four losses that were more disappointing 10 3

RoyBatty is alive Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Yes the would be about the worst loss during the McDermott era. Had they lost to the Jets, that would have been the "leader". Patriots are reeling, we have a lead on them, now is OUR time to take control. 2
jimmy10 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Why does everything need to be superlative all the time? “Most ever” “worst ever” “signature win” “best dressed”... Just let it happen, man. Not like anyone here has a lick of influence on the outcome anyway. 5 1 3 3

The Frankish Reich Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Yes. If this one gets away the whole "can't seem to beat the Pats" takes on a new life. They are ripe for the picking, and beating them this weekend puts us in the driver's seat for our first division title in a quarter century. 5

If Josh passes for 300 yards you will be happy though. 2
Buffalo Bills Fan Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Allen must use short passes this week. The Pats secondary is too talented. But not at good pressure or run d. How the Bill's have to attack there D.

Because this really should be a Bills win and after years of being the Pats whipping boy, no Brady and how the Pats have looked since the Raiders game, this is one the Bills need to win (and dominate).
LABILLBACKER Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Just go in there and punch them in the mouth. We've been losing to them for 20 years. Enough is enough. Tell your players if they care about the fans of Buffalo and have any pride in their own game, this is the circled game of the year. The changing of the guard. 6
Gen2 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 IMHO, with the Bills playing as well and the Pats playing as bad as they have this season, this game becomes just another game on our schedule. Sure it's an important game because it's a division game but it's on equal footing with games against the Jets and the Dolphins. It is NOT the yardstick many want to make it about the "greatness" of our beloved Bills. Beating the Pats will give me the same sort of satisfaction as beating the Dolphins after the 0 for 70's. While I fully agree with the old adage of if you want to be the "best" you have to beat the "best" this year the title of "best" belongs to the Chiefs, Steelers, Titans certainly not the Pats. While beating the Pats will give me a certain amount of satisfaction of getting the monkey off our backs ... and shutting up the "national" talking head experts about any possibility of the Pats still taking the division ... it will tell me more about the decline of the Pats than it will about the rise of the Bills. 3 1

Why would anyone post anything on this board if we weren't interested in all those superlatives and perceived rankings? We'd just watch the game and have threads about magnificent young athletes doing remarkable things. Oh, there's a few of those ... maybe 2 percent of all threads?
Rigotz Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Call me crazy, but I think losing a playoff game after taking a 16-0 lead is more disappointing than losing to a 2-5 team in the division. 3 1 4
Giuseppe Tognarelli Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Yes. McDermott must win this game. MUST. 1
Greg S Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Worst loss with McDermott was the playoff game vs Houston. 1
BillsFanSD Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 It seems pretty obvious that the plan has always been for 2020 to be the year that the Bills step up and win the division and establish themselves as a playoff team not just this year but for the foreseeable future. I feel pretty good about the "playoff team for the foreseeable future" part because of #17's development, but to be honest it would be very disappointing to lose to NE this week when we're supposed to be ripping the division out of their cheating hands. So yeah I think the OP has a pretty good point.

Part of this "believe in the process" is baby steps. The first goal was developing our 1st round qb. And I think we're almost there. The next goal has to be taking yearly control of the division. You can't just skip that and expect to jump right to beating KC and winning SB'S. Baby steps. 1

Josh is the worst, this defense is the worst, mcd is overrated, fire beane. The last loss was terrible but the next one is the worst ever. Jesus. Xanax for all. 3
