JetsFan20 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 First of all congrats. I was going to be rooting for the Bills next week, but may need Pats to lose for draft positioning. The Bills came out incredibly flat today and against any other NFL team it would have cost them. Against the Jets? Not so much. 1) This was the first game all year Gregg Williams defensive game plan actually worked. Ignore the stats Allen put up-they are meaningless. The Jets don’t have any corners who can cover and Williams as a result has installed a boring bend but don’t break defense. The idea is to force the offense to execute 10-12 play drives and hope they screw up once or twice to kill the drive. The Bills obviously had numerous drive killing plays. 2) The Jets offense started out hot executing scripted plays, but once the bills adjusted and forced Gase to adjust and Darnold to read the defense they both bombed. It’s been pretty typical of the Gase/Darnold era. 3) The Bills were fortunate to walk off the field today a winner. It also shows how difficult it is to lose 16 games in the NFL. Had a couple of those Allen passes ended up in the hands of a Jet defender even this sorry team may have built an insurmountable lead. 7 2
Success Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 One thing I never do at the start of the season is go through a schedule and try to pick a W/L record game by game. Teams will generally beat teams they shouldn't beat, and lose to teams they shouldn't lose to. Even with the Jets record, I don't buy that they're some sort of pushover. Darnold is capable of playing very well. The defense is solid, and well coached. It's a division game. Every team has professionals who are paid to play well. The Jets put together a great half of football - they disappeared in the 2nd half, but on any given Sunday they can beat anyone. I was glad to get out of there w/ the W. 9

I'm a Jets fan like you, I would be scared to death of the Jets finding a way to win 2 or 3 games this year! Need to go all in and get that No. 1 overall pick.

Fortune had nothing to do with it. Bills just didn’t finish drives 11 1

So by that logic the jets were fortunate all those almost interceptions by the Bills weren't caught, or else it would of been a blowout. 1

Rc2catch Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 This game could of easily went 35-10 buffalo. After the script and they abandoned the run Jersey had nothing. It was disappointing buffalo made it interesting in the first half 1
gobills404 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) The stats aren't meaningless, they show that our offense had their way with the Jets defense until they repeatedly shot themselves in the foot in the redzone. I'll agree that the Jets could've won, but they just as easily could've been blown out. Edited October 26, 2020 by gobills404 2

SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Playing division rivals is always tough the new play caller for the JETS has to be figured out. But the Bills did it. 1

Hey that was a tough play on Kroft, props to him making plays when they actually throw to him. A tight end making a tough catch on this team is like seeing a leprechaun in real life 3 3

I agree and it's troubling that they came out so flat after 2 bad games against the Titans & Chiefs. I'm not a Jets fan, but I feel bad for Jets fans. Gase is brutal 1

Gregg Williams bend but don't break, now that's funny. Greggo is going to try and break the other teams QB. Your problem isn't your D. Your Offense Is beyond garbage and your opponent gets to keep fire shots at your D. You also got the advantage of playing with the questionable officiating against the Bills. It's almost like the league has given two mandates this year. 1. Allow offensive holding even if it's blatant. 2. Favor the large market teams whenever possible. 🤔 Edited October 26, 2020 by formerlyofCtown 1

We should have known that our top 3 D was going to stumble to the bottom of the league. We assumed that our D was top 10 at least and that's probably why fans on this board predicted more wins.
