cwater10 Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 O.J. Rich Stadium debut! 1973! Such a thrill ride. I could never turn back.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) I grew up on the east side of Buffalo. The AFL and NBC used to black out all home games, so I would listen to Van Miller's call on WBEN. Marlon Briscoe was my favorite player. It's wasn't until the '69 opener that I got to see a Bills game in person. Edited October 25, 2020 by PromoTheRobot 2
BananaB Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) My bother had this on the wall. Guidance I guess. I was super young so when I seen him play I just stuck with the Bills Edited October 25, 2020 by BananaB 1
BBf63 Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 1963 kid living in New England bought a pack of AFL football cards inside was a buffalo bills team sticker and a Ken Rice card ,been a life long fan ever since. Wouldn't change for anything!
gjv Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Took me 5 years to jump from Browns to Bills. Became a Bills fan in 1965. 1
TwistofFate Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 I defected from an entire family of Steelers fans because of "bad things man." 1
Jim Steele Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Was born a Bills fan moved away in 1984 live in Atlanta area. Only a very strong Bills fan, again the Atlanta who?

RyanC883 Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Started watching the Bills in Buffalo as a 5-6 year old. Moved to Binghamton and continued to be a bills fan, despite the overabundance of Giants and Eagles fans there in the early 90’s. Moved to PGH in 1994, still remember a 6th grade teacher somewhat smugly predicting I would become a Steelers fan. Still in Pgh, still a Bills fan. 13 minutes ago, Chandler#81 said: Raiders wouldn’t let my kind in. too crazy for em!! 1
Don Otreply Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Proximity mostly, Being that I did zero homework before deciding the bills were gonna be the team I root for, I now get to suffer with BBFS for the rest of my life. I guess I wouldn’t have it any other way... Go Bills!!! 1
stevestojan Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Became a fan? I was born. Stayed a fan? Stockholm syndrome. 1 2
F.W. Cyclone Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) Don't remember not being a Bills fan so its hard to tell but I do remember watching the games from the old rock pile on black and white tv my dad. Edited October 25, 2020 by F.W. Cyclone
SC BIlls Fan Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 !960 as well. Went to the rockpile with my dad
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 This exact second. I was about 9 or so, didn't know anything about football at all, but I went with my Dad to a Super Bowl party that one of his friends were throwing. When this play happened, everybody went crazy, and it was replayed for long enough so I understand what happened. I thought that was really cool that the Bills didn't quit, even when things were going badly.
Kenosha2Buffalo Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) My dad passed when I was 11 and he was a huge fan, I pretty much followed his ways when I found out he had cancer... And be came more of a loyal fan to the bills. Basically watched every game since! Edited October 25, 2020 by Kenosha2Buffalo 1
