Adamb412 Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 I think the bills should embrace their offense and just try to win games in shootouts. After tonight I bet the giants would be willing to take offers for engram. We need a tight end and knox can't stay healthy. I say we ship kroft and a third for engram. The dude is fast as *****. The giants just don't know how to use him in my opinion 1
whatdrought Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 It’s really ridiculous how misused he is. To think they’re asking him to catch the game sealing pass when he should just be used to... carry the bags? Obviously one play doesn’t define a player, but if Knox drops that pass here we’d be discussing which flavor of dry rub to use on him for the rotisserie.... I’m feeling lemon pepper myself. 1
BillsToast Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Well it would make it fun to watch. The problem is we don't have the O-line to have a balanced offense to make it work.
billieve420 Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Engram is overrated. Don't need another injury prone TE who hasn't lived up to the hype. Flashed his rookie year and hasn't done much since. 1 1

The issue with the offense is not being able to run the ball effectively. Engram is not going to help with that. When you are constantly in 3rd and long it will come to bite you eventually. Instead focus on fixing the defense which in turn will help the offense.
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 I am for anything that makes the team better, whether it is offense, defense or special teams. Upgrade anywhere you can.

While I also agree with your take on a balanced team and improving one side will help the other; if we added him like the OP said...now that’s at LEAST 4 guys on the field you have to account for. 5 if you’re all in on the Davis train and I sure as hell am. And 6 with Josh taking off. We would be the “keep up with the points” team we always wanted to be.

NewEra Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 No more injury plagued players. Especially not a TE with a year left on this contract. I’d MUCH rather have that pick. Nice player but not worth it imo

Straight Hucklebuck Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Absolutely you try to improve Tight End. This team is limping along with Knox and Kroft and Lee Smith. Engram is a first round talent and young veteran. As constructed the Bills aren’t good enough to do much of anything in the Playoffs, we see how one WR injury (Brown) depletes this offense. You’re never as deep as you think you are. Knox has had plenty of chances.

Considering the money we have under the cap next year, to me it"s too expensive.
Rock-A-Bye Beasley Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Or we can sink more money/draft picks into the DT position. much like a gambler who is chasing to catch up I think it will pay off
Scott7975 Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 If they are working on offense I think it would be better to build the line. One that can actually run block. Our O problem is they are one dimensional and Josh doesn't really run anymore. 2

And defense should be built around Milano) Offense is very good at WR, but they are all fairly small except for Davis. Another bigger weapon would be a big boost. Engram is an excellent athlete. No comparison to Knox who is tough but a stiff w stone hands and no fluidity to his game. I would bring him in in a heartbeat.
