PromoTheRobot Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 No rush to pick a permanent name. https://nypost.com/2020/10/20/this-will-likely-be-washington-football-teams-name-next-season/ 2
Nextmanup Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 (edited) This is weird now. Pick a new name and move on. I thought the "Red Tails" was a great idea; easily transferable to cool logos, ties in the history of the Redskin name, but updates it to go from being racially biased to racially accepting....and the football team sits in one of the largest black communities in the country. You could even keep red as a dominant color in the uniform scheme. Just do it already! Edited October 21, 2020 by Nextmanup 6
Bills fan since 87 Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 I've grown to kind of like it, kinda like how FC is on the end of some soccer teams.. I say run with it, it's a new school name that sounds old school for and old school franchise. 2
BullBuchanan Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 they should just make it permanent. It could be a cool name to own. I bet College kids that are fans of "THE University of [name]" could get down with it too.
BuffaloBillies Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Should just go with WTF. Washington, Team Football. 3 3 2 1

ColoradoBills Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 I like it. Brings some sort of balance to the whole issue.
416BillsFan Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Washington Roughriders? At one point 2 of 9 CFL teams were Roughriders. 2
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 (edited) I actually read the tilte as WTF is sticking with WTF 2 hours ago, Nextmanup said: This is weird now. brianthomas Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 I've been calling the WFT the WTF's. Its slowly catching on. To me the WTF moniker just makes too much sense. They're really that bad WTF 1
LABILLBACKER Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Redtails made the most sense. You could keep the colors and R logo. I know they were never going to rush into selecting a name. They factor in polls etc. Probably be unveiled in the spring.
Jamie Nails Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 I think they should just put a question mark after their current team name. Washington Football Team? 1 2
Mark Vader Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 It's not easy picking a team name in the NFL. 4
Freddie's Dead Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Read the title and thought you misspelled WTF at least once. 1

To me it sounds like a win win. 18 minutes ago, H2o said: haha H2O with the cute link FTW :-)))
