Seems to me Beane is trying to send a message that the shocking lack of running game against the soft zone is the OLs fault not the deficiencies and limitations of Singletary, previously acknowledged to be a brilliant draft pick by Beane. I think it’s a little hard for everyone (Beane, coaches, fans) to accept, after having such high hopes for Singletary, that he may just not have the goods.

Hes been on IR for 3 years.  Hard to get playing time when you're constantly hurt.  Its amazing they held on to him as long as they did.  He broke the Marcus Easley record for most consecutive IR time on a single team.

Hey, Easley was a stud on special teams those 3 games he played.

I know, right?

"We need to send a message to the fans that our run game is all the fault of the OL.  How to do it.....how to do it....I KNOW!  LET"S CUT THE GUY WHO'S BEEN ON THE BENCH OR INACTIVE!  YEAH!"

Not to mention that to people who watch film or read analysis by people who produce film cut-ups....it's pretty damn clear that the run blocking has been nonexistant, the message is on the tape.

Who really cares because the Bills coaching staff isn't very good at their job when it pertains to evaluating talent and at one point though Nathan Peterman was an NFL starting QB.

Same reason they force feed their draft picks into prominent roles instead of releasing them or keeping on bench because they want to justify their silly 'process' mantra and act as if everything they've touched is going to turn into gold.

Pssssst....whatever your job is, Do It.  This football message board thing seems a "bridge too far" for you, except for the deliciously ironic screen name

When Spain goes to the Chiefs or another contender and looks better than Ford/Winters or plays like a borderline probowl level it's going to be interesting to see the comments on here.

Also seems to be a lot of hype over a guy (Feliciano) who was not even as good as Spain was last year for this team and his return isn't going to change anything in the run game, pass blocking, etc.

I disagree.  I believe that women prefer the softer core pornography with fancy stories and costumes that whisks them away to another place in time.

My guess is that he was unhappy he lost his starting job and was starting to cause locker room problems. Just a guess, though.

If they release a guy who started the season in the same place they just lost another player, it had to have been for a good reason.

this seems like the only likely reason.

How about this: when Spain goes to the Chiefs or another contender, gets regular playing time, and plays at a borderline probowl level, we'll revisit.

I do not like it. From what we know as of right now, I don't see how this move makes the Bills a better team.

well, with this guy getting cut, and the benching on monday, the coaches have made it clear they are the boss and the team follows them.

They've kinda increased the difficulty for themselves, but this is their chance to right the ship and get everyone on the same page.  these next four games will basically be our season IMO

Shocked. But not surprised in the least. If there is one thing McBeane has demonstrated since they’ve been here, it’s a ZERO tolerance for attitude problems. Demoted players have two options: work your ass off to get back to being a starter or sulk. Spain chose the latter. Good riddance.

He's the guy you wish good things for but he was an undrafted free agent and the Titans did tried to get better at the position when they let him go. He was a good pass blocker here not best at run blocking. I hate to see him go but am sure there's a reason for it. Maybe it's to get Feliciano back in, maybe because he didn't want to say, no way to know for sure yet all I can say is next man up.
