gashed all day in the run game and you consistently have our safeties 25 yards deep off the snap..failed to get aggressive until the final chiefs drive and by then it was too late....cbs 10 yard cushions..edmunds on an island squatting in no mans land...no stacked boxes...no disguised coverages...no jamming the recievers at the line....no spy for a running qb etc etc etc.....mcdermott must make a statement....defense on pace to be the worst in franchise history.....with poyer/hyde/edmunds/tre white/milano that seems highly impossible

You actually nailed it on the head.  Was going to post similar but you are spot on. I don’t get the sudden urgency at the end when it was missing all game. This staff is always a day late and dime ( spy, run blitzes, cbs creeping in late etc,  ) short. Fanboys will be we are 4-2 , be happy.  Big issue is we will not challenge for SB like this and Pats or fins may take  division.  Not impossible against team that can’t stop run or scheme well.

I disagree.  The problem is the D line and its been a problem all year, followed directly by the LB positions. They are continuously getting tossed around, pushed out of gaps, and our LBs can't get off blocks or close the holes quick enough.

Scheme has nothing to do with not winning battles.  You need to win 1v1 and penetrate on run plays.  Lbs need to win 1v1, shoot gaps and wrap up.  They literally done none of that tonight.

It was painful to watch.

Start at the top. Mcd a defensive coach by trade. Has to have his stamp all

over the defensive scheming and game plan.  Also a lot of  player acquisition input.

No one needs to get fired. Some coaching ataff has to start earning there pay checks though.

To me it's kind of a mindset thing aswell, no one is fired up on defense at all. That's partly the players but allot goes to the coaches to. Send an all out blitz once in awhile scheme an exotic blitz on passing downs. We are content to just rush 4 it seems and hope for the best. Coaches need to evolve as offenses do and to me Frazier doesn't want to. Gotta get creative coach the oldschool mentality of bend don't break will only get us so far, especially when we're bending so much it will eventually snap.

The front 7 is playing like absolute trash, but this isn’t a bunch of guys who shouldn’t be good, I do believe this is on the coaches.

And no one was fired up on offense. Two games in a row. It's almost weird. They are not fiery, cocky, etc. as you need to be... and as they were.

And yes the defense looks so vanilla. Sometimes you have to take risks. Sure you get burned, but players thrive on an attack mentality. BTW Kelce wasn't THAT open. Of course he was, but he basically almost always finds a way, it was usual numbers for him. Great offensive schemes in KC too. It was the run D that was horrendous, and that has been the case all year. But besides at the end, no run blitzes. Only the DL asked to do its job... and they needed help.

Crazy that will all that, if it had been a fumble at the end, the Bills might have pulled it off!

watching some of the replay  some horrible ball recognition.  On the second chiefs position Tre goes with hill on the motion to the QB on the snap and the ball is handed off and tre is looking right at the exchange and just continues to follow Hill.

there is more bad and i quit watching again

Our DL also sucks and I don’t think we have the personnel to fix it regardless of who the DC is.

Well, it was raining.  So... the deep balls are going to be tougher to throw, catch, time... everything.  So maybe we should stack the box a bit more to help out the terrible defensive line.

I was talking about this when we were 4-0,  we were getting killed on defensive side of the ball.  You cannot continue to win playing that way,  we could easily lost both to the Rams and Raiders because of our defense. It's a problem and Frazier adds to it by playing conservative,  like tonight on KC'S closing drive twice he decides to rush just 4 guys on must stop 3rd downs.  He keeps repeating the same schemes that teams have long figured out,

Exactly!...even in perfect conditions a deep ball is a 60% chance...Frazier is perfectly content to allow the 5 yard runs and the underneath stuff...he would rather protect the deep ball...makes zero sense bc its hanging our defense out to dry with 17 play demoralizing drives!......bring the safeties and lbers up tighter/jam the recievers off the line/play edmunds in mlb,olb and even de sometimes....show blitz and back off into exotic coverages with plenty of pre snap motion.....its just an overall bland defense scheme and allows teams to beat us by 100 cuts instead of a single stab.....very basic defense this year and it is 100% a coaching and scheme issue

Everything starts up front.  No pressure on 3rd downs, no push on 1st downs.  They can't attack the RPO mesh point, they cant cover on third down.  Massive rush lanes.

They aren't figured out - they're just doing a poor job at all the things needed to make the defense they run successful.  It's not "edmunds needs to do this" or whatever.  The dline unit must be better.  The LBs must be better.  The DBs must be better.

We "held them" to 26 points, but also held ourselves to 50 total offensive plays.

And right now I'm trying to figure out why we don't let out supposed lockdown corner take the best receiver and just follow him around the field. I get we play zone but can't we use trey white like a typical lockdown corner. Again I'm no football guy but I watch the top corners in this league take a guy and shadow him, what's the reason we don't with ours? Do they just not want to or are they afraid of him getting burnt. He does one on one drills with Diggs all week, put him on the other teams best and let it play out.

26 points is a moot point when they had 17,16,and 19 play drives for 18 minutes in just them 3 drives.......they ran the ball and killed the clock bc they never felt threatened to have to throw or score much.......safeties being 25 yards off the ball amd cbs giving untested 10 yard cushions and lbers 15 yards deep with just your front 4 to stop a scrambling mahomes or a run spells doom......as a coach you put your players at the best position to succeed according to their talent level....Frazier actually is scheming against our strengths this year........he is pounding a square peg into a roumd hole and we are on the verge to statistically be the worst defense in Buffalo Bills history by years end.

...white/hyde/poyer/milano/edmunds says its a scheme problem along with players checking out...white making a frustrated dumb penalty late in the game...followed up by poyer doing the same?....these are very good vets and you can see the frustration......the scheme must change with what we have....we dont have star and lawson or phillips and lost alexander....we do not have the front 4 to make last years scheme work...we do have playmakers and solid players on defense its now up to our d coordinator and head coach to come up with a hybrid scheme to compensate for our losses from last year....they have had 6 weeks now and have not solved a thing...and its not that we have seen different schemes and other things....we are running the same vanilla ***** week after week!

They could've had 8 in the box all day and still got gashed. The defense couldnt control the LOS. There isn't a scheme that works when ur not getting any push
