Before Sean McDermott, this team hadn't made the playoffs in 17 years. We were the butt of the NFL for, forever.

McDermott has gotten us to the playoffs 2 out of the last 3 years. Think about that, we went 17 years without a playoff appearance and now we have been there two out of the last 3 years.

I don't get the hate for McDermott, he has simply gotten the job done. He has gotten us what we all wanted, a chance at the Super Bowl. You can't get a chance if you don't make the playoffs. Beane and McDermott reset this team, and are now building it to compete each and every year. Now, it's about building on last year's playoff appearance and turning it into a playoff win and then eventually a Super Bowl. I think some here forget how bad it was here for 17 years.

Let's cool the fire everyone takes. Lets see where this team is after the Patriots game.

I'm in the middle. I get what you're saying - but the man needs to start showing up in these big games.

Tonight felt like coaching.  It didn't feel like much else.  I didn't understand - AT ALL - what kind of defensive identity we were trying to establish. And we played scared the whole game.

I'm not giving up on McD.  But he hasn't proven much yet, imo.

I think the difference, and I may be jumping the gun here....but I think the difference from those 17 years prior....we actually have a QB.  There's no excuses.

4-2 and still tops in the AFCE. However keep playing uninspired and unprepared football and that division lead will quickly go away.

and you don’t win the Division McD eyes turn to you.

Nobody with half a brain wants to see anyone fired at this point.  It's just blowing off steam.

But there is concern.  I was willing to give the entire team a pass for last week given the injuries and strange circumstances leading up to the game.  This week, though, they seemed clearly outclassed in every respect.  Yes, the Chiefs are a damn good team and the reigning champs, but they shouldn't be able to dominate a legitimate playoff team on the road like they did.  The way we played (and coached), we weren't beating many teams tonight (outside of the absolute dregs like the NJ teams).

You are not allowed to be logical around here after a loss.

I mean I guess that's fair got to give people a few days to B word and moan and for the all-22 to come out and show it's nowhere near as bad as they think.

It honestly felt like we finally got things figured out somewhat at the end of the game problem was we were playing Mahomes and the Chiefs and that's just hard to stop even when you do get your game going.

We had better personnel on defense last year.  The changes made in the off season were not for the better.

No i seriously want Frazier gone and McDermott to call the defense for the rest of the season then get a more aggressive minded dc and never have to hear bend but dont break again

McDermott probably has as much rope as any coach in the league not named Bill Belicheck or Andy Reid.  His job is 100% secure, but the fanbase is going to eat his face if we choke against the Jets (which they absolutely should not).
