Biden won't be in the 2024 race.

1. Death

2. Near death - hospice care

3. Dems realize they can't "Weekend at Bernie's" the drooling vegetable thru a 2nd term. Not to mention the chances of Biden living thru a 2nd term is almost zero percent. Giggles is unelectable. Even many Dems can't stand her.

You sure are consistent!!

It's not hard to do in this case. Everyone can see it. This is a reason why the Newsome for President calls are getting louder in the media.

I would prefer someone younger in the role but if it comes down to Biden/Trump - you have no choice but to go with the lesser of two evils.

WSJ: Biden Wants to Define Himself As Leader Who Can 'Help Steady a Tumultuous Planet'

8d551191-ddf9-42bd-9a04-5d6c2bdd6144-536

The main challenge Biden faces is Biden himself, but his campaign is clearly hoping that voters don't remember that when Biden took office there were no wars, the economy was pretty good and the southern border was secure. Instead, the media's helping the Biden campaign frame the election as things that happened to Biden rather than things Biden helped make happen:

Biden's bringing his expertise to "help steady a tumultuous planet"? Exactly when did the planet (and U.S. economy, southern border, etc.) start getting "tumultuous," WSJ? In other words, Biden was the cause of so many problems and now wants to be re-elected because he's going to be the "solution" in the next term? That's a laugh.

Team Biden is also banking on another strategy: Hoping that nobody has been to a grocery store in the last couple of years:

5 ways Democrats are coping with Biden’s terrible polls

Their logic and spin boils down to: Whatever the polls say, we need him as president.

By KELLY GARRITY

Poll after poll has brought bad news for Joe Biden. Whether the incumbent president is trailing his likely 2024 Republican challenger, hitting a new low in approval or seeing the majority of Democrats raise concerns about his age, the numbers should be disconcerting for the Biden camp.

Despite the grim data, so far Democrats are sticking with their man. And rather than confronting just how bleak things look at the moment, many Democrats are finding solace in a cycle of self-soothing spin that explains away the difficult political reality.

With the 2024 elections coming up, the desperation for the Democrats to find their latest thing for America to be outraged about is increasing, especially since nothing has truly caught on that could truly influence people to vote for them.

Climate change isn't catching on, a second COVID scare was shrugged off, and Black Lives Matter is involved in too many financial scandals to be a valid option for a resurgence.

They are running out of narratives.

They will need something to institute mass mail in voting by the election.

The signs are all pointing to real problems for Joe Biden in 2024. Of course, you may not trust the polls, which is understandable, but if you need some convincing that alarm bells are going off at Biden HQ, here it is: the Biden campaign and Democratic donors don’t seem to be willing to invest much money or resources to win Georgia anymore.

"Since 2020, Democratic strategists and activists have fixated on how to expand their gains in Georgia, once a Republican stronghold and now a true battleground,” reports the New York Times. "But some of the state’s most prominent grass-roots organizers — those responsible for engineering President Biden’s victory in 2020 and that of two Democratic U.S. senators in 2021 — are growing concerned that efforts and attention are waning four years later."

Hmmmmm.

"In a matchup for the White House, President Joe Biden is virtually tied with former President Donald Trump among Minnesota voters...."

MinnPost reports.

There's a big gender gap: "Fifty-six percent of women polled, and just 35% of men, said they favor Biden. Meanwhile, just 32% of Minnesota women polled, and 53% of men, said they support Trump."

You have to go back to 1972 to find the last presidential election where Minnesota voted for the Republican:

Swing-state Muslim leaders launch campaign to ‘abandon’ Biden in 2024

Politico reported:

Muslim leaders from several swing states on Saturday descended on Dearborn, Michigan, to launch a national campaign against the reelection of President Joe Biden — a response to his handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Organizers from Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania are calling the campaign #AbandonBiden, vowing to ensure that Biden is a one-term president. These leaders have run separate pressure campaigns in their respective states, members of the coalition said, but they felt now was the time to coordinate their response ahead of the 2024 election.

The leaders said Saturday they are not voting for Donald Trump next year, though they recognized that their effort to rally support against Biden could elevate the former president. They said they’ll continue to have discussions as a community about which candidate to throw their support behind as the primaries rapidly approach.

The prospect of losing votes in swing states does appear to be affecting Biden administration policy, as does a revolt among White House staffers. President Joe Biden has moved from bold statements of support for Israel to more lukewarm stances; he even reportedly apologized to Muslim leaders for questioning Hamas’s official death count for the conflict, which includes terrorists.

Biden's Latest Campaign Remarks Should Make People Run Out...and Vote for the GOP

By Nick Arama

One could reduce Joe Biden's "campaign" so far to one word: lethargic.

I'm not sure what they are going to do to change the sense of the American people that he's too old and shouldn't be running. So far, they've just sent him out to protected campaign reception environments, and he hasn't been doing anything where he's going to get a big challenge or be truly taxed to explain himself. He's not doing anything that's going to move that needle.

{snip}

Biden went on the "Rickey Smiley" radio show, probably in an effort to shore up support with black voters in the face of a poll that says 22 percent may be going for former President Donald Trump.

He did that pandering bit that he does where he becomes everything to everybody, depending on who the audience is. He told Smiley how he was "raised" by the HBCU Delaware State University. But he went to the University of Delaware, not Delaware State.

But check out Biden's new campaign pitch. This isn't exactly inspiring. In fact, it may just make Americans run out and vote for Republicans.

"I know everybody's frustrated, even though, you know, like I said, we've made great progress compared to where we were. ... there's still a lot that's not being taken care of"

Did Joe Biden forget he was in charge?

The problem is he hasn't made great progress: Everything has gotten worse since he came in; everything is more expensive, from groceries to gas, and interest rates are so high they're making buying a home cost-prohibitive for many. Meanwhile, the border has gotten out of control, endangering the safety of our nation, and foreign policy has blown up into multiple wars when, under Trump, we had no new wars.

Joe Biden has an electoral math problem to solve
CNN ^ | December 11, 2023 | by Zachary B. Wolf

Forget the national polls that show the country has soured on President Joe Biden, and consider the Electoral College with less than 11 months until Election Day 2024.

Former President Donald Trump would need to flip three states Biden won in 2020 to complete his political resurrection and retake the White House – and a new set of CNN battleground state polls out Monday suggests that if the election were held today, Trump is most of the way there.

Biden, like Hillary Clinton, got millions more votes nationwide than Trump, but Biden secured the White House in 2020 thanks to the thinnest of margins in a few key states Clinton lost in 2016.

Georgia plus Michigan plus one more = a Trump win While national polling suggests the country doesn’t much approve of either Biden or Trump, it is battleground state polls like the ones CNN released Monday from Michigan and Georgia that should raise serious questions about Biden’s ability to make the Electoral College math work.

Assuming Trump secures the Republican nomination (a pretty good assumption at the moment), if he can flip Georgia and Michigan and their 31 combined Electoral College votes, he would need to flip just one more battleground state that Biden won in 2020. These include Arizona, with its 11 Electoral College votes; Pennsylvania with 19; or Wisconsin with 10.

In the Georgia poll released Monday, Biden gets the support of 71% of Black voters (vs. 24% for Trump), not an exact comparison since those figures are among all registered voters, not necessarily those who will turn out to vote in 2024. But it certainly suggests Biden has work to do to maintain Democrats’ diverse coalition.
