Tim Scott's Hail Mary Plan to Go All In on Iowa

KAREN TOWNSEND

Tim Scott’s presidential primary campaign needs a boost. This week he is aggressively shifting resources to Iowa in a move to go all-in in the first state to hold primary caucuses.

Every campaign wants to win Iowa and have the wind at their back going into New Hampshire. Scott plans to have staff numbers “in the double digits” by the end of this week and he will open a West Des Moines headquarters. Television ad buys are being shifted from New Hampshire to Iowa.

Scott plans to campaign every week in Iowa after the November 8 Republican debate in Miami until the caucuses on January 15, 2024.

The campaign is worried but his campaign manager is putting a happy face on the move to ratchet up campaigning in Iowa.

Pence drops out of 2024 presidential race

BY JULIA MUELLER

NEW YORK (AP) — Former Vice President Mike Pence on Saturday dropped his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, ending his campaign for the White House after struggling to raise money and gain traction in the polls.

“It’s become clear to me: This is not my time,” Pence said at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual gathering in Las Vegas. “So after much prayer and deliberation, I have decided to suspend my campaign for president effective today.”

“We always knew this would be an uphill battle, but I have no regrets,” Pence went on to tell the friendly audience, which reacted with audible surprise to the announcement and gave him multiple standing ovations.

HMM: Biden tries to stanch Democratic losses in rural America.

“Privately, allies hope the White House outreach — part of a two-week blitz of rural America — can also help claw back voters in a part of the country where Democrats have hemorrhaged support in recent years.

While party strategists are under no illusions they can win majorities in rural counties, they desperately need to lose by less next year.”

Majority Believe AI Will Spread Election Misinformation in 2024

New polling from the AP and NORC confirms that people are growing increasingly concerned about the dangers posed by Artificial Intelligence. These worries cover many areas, but voters are specifically worried about the impact of AI on the upcoming elections. A solid majority of poll respondents said they are concerned that AI will be used to “spread false or misleading information” during the election, potentially affecting the outcome

How bad of a president does one have to be to be trailing the multi-indicted orange gasbag in 5/6 battleground states? And what’s with the you g people, Hispanics, and blacks?

Rhetorical questions.

From the NYT article - In a remarkable sign of a gradual racial realignment between the two parties, the more diverse the swing state, the farther Mr. Biden was behind, and he led only in the whitest of the six....

Chris Christie’s Trump Tantrum Campaign Has an Audience of None.

“The longer Trump lingers at the top of the polls, the more that the candidates who thought attacking him was the ticket are probably rocking back and forth in the dark on their hotel room floors, muttering ‘Why won’t they love me?'”

Three reasons Trump is leading Biden

by Byron York, Chief Political Correspondent

The entire Democratic political establishment freaked out on Sunday morning when the New York Times published a story headlined, "Trump Leads in 5 Critical States as Voters Blast Biden, Times/Sienna Poll Finds." The story was based on a new survey in which voters in six key swing states — Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada — were asked whether they supported President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump in a 2024 matchup. The result: In five of those states, all except Wisconsin, Trump led Biden.

The poll found Trump leading by 10 points in Nevada, by 6 in Georgia, 5 in Arizona and Michigan, and 4 in Pennsylvania, while Biden led Trump by 2 points in Wisconsin. "If the results in the poll were the same next November, Mr. Trump would be poised to win more than 300 Electoral College votes, far above the 270 needed to take the White House," the New York Times concluded.

Sure, really lean into the racist “foreigners are inferior” bit. Take that mask all the way off where we can see it.

No - it’s the “we have the skilled workers here” mask.

They are also Black and Brown - but for some reason you assumed white people would be who those jobs should be for - as if you don’t believe we have skilled American minorities here that can do them.  Such a ridiculously racist assumption to think “if we don’t let Indians in those jobs will go to white people!  We need to bring in minorities!”

Umm….no.

So we have the skill here and it’s all colors races and 78 genders.

But Democrats want those minorities here to be dependent on government and poor.

The current polling on Biden’s re election v Trump and his standing with minorities tells us what we know and why Trump always had them ****ing their pants.  He was going to destroy the core D voting block of Blacks especially men.  They knew this way back in 2015.

GOP needs to drop even attempting to put limits on abortion. it's a wedge topic that's hurting them.

the women and land chads want on demand abortion, without limits.

If Trump gets the nomination, I would hope he would consider Nikki Haley as the VP. She is doing well in the polls even passing DeSantis. She can help get the women's vote.
