Pretty sure OP called in with a bad take and got slammed by Sal.

My only thing about Sal are the drug related Freudian slips. I dont have an issue with them, but they're hilarious.

Not sure about anyone else, but I'm getting pretty tired of Sal Capaccio on WGR.  While he's very passionate about the Bills and Western New York, he comes across as extremely arrogant and thinks he's a self-appointed spokesman for the Bills.  He routinely dismisses callers who make valid points - this morning, someone called in wanting to talk about the few playoff teams the Bills have defeated during McDermott's tenure and Sal immediately cut him off and said the point wasn't relevant.  When callers call in and it's unclear what they are trying to say, he starts screaming.  Admittedly, this can be frustrating but it comes across as arrogance.  It's also kind of tiring listening to him try to justify / explain every move the Bills make as if he's McBean's press secretary with the attitude of "you must listen to me because I'm a sideline reporter and used to coach football."

Given his role is so visible on WGR, I certainly hope this is a position that eventually gets upgraded.

Maybe Shoup has taken him under his wing! Teach him the ropes.

He turned into Joe Busc. I used to love Sal and not like Joe. But I have to agree. There is something to this. He's way to knowledgeable from his own background to become irritating. I hope he's on here but I'm starting to think sideline beat reporters shouldn't have full shows.

One guy called in today and started off too aggressive and its not clear if he was even quoting Sal correctly but I am noticing a trend.

Was hoping it was just me

this from a socal resident who rarely listens to WGR ....regarding that clip posted where Sal ran the guy wanting to pick up a DE like Bruce or JJ Watt........ hot dang he talks fast...rapid fire is an understatement...does he always talk like that on the radio? Just a general comment but seriously maybe he should lay off the double caffeine red bulls or something......on another side note I know folks who used to chat with him in an online bills message board forum under the moniker "Coach Sal" before he became a sports host professionally.... Just think folks, he used to be one of "Us" lol

I believe that the audio is sped up on that link, to make it "fit".  Sal does talk fairly quicky, but not that fast.

I think this silly thread has taken it’s course. If you have future complaints about WGR and their personalities, please email the program director. We are not the complaint department for the radio talent.
